Champneys City Spa, St Albans

So disappointed!!!! Was bought a hot stone massage and facial as a birthday present. I was tickled for an hour or so with some warm stones which was very relaxing but all the tension and knots I went in with are still there. Waste of time and money. Also got paint all over my hands as was not told and no signs to say all the woodwork had been recently painted (hand rail/doors etc). Would not recommend.

Fantastic treatments and lovely therapists... great for a treat for someone, or to spoil yourself

Had gel nails done right before Christmas. It was express manicure without even sorting out the cuticles. Hasn't even lasted a week! Very disappointed. Only good thing is I didn't pay as I had a voucher but to be honest it's expensive for what it is. Much better places around that do a better job!

The worse pedicure I ever had. Booked week in advance but when I got there asked for French nails they said I couldn't have it cos only few people can do it and they weren't available but no one told me anything when I booked. Come on a spa that no one can do a French nails!! :/ After that asked then for a white colour but they didn't have it either!! The lady didn't wash or soak my feet before starting (never been to a pedicure that doesn't at least rinse your nails before) left there with nails that I could do better at home. Absolutely ridiculous a SPA doing such a rubbish job!! Waste of money.

Very disappointed with my 'luxury pedicure'. While the technician was nice, she spent very little time treating my feet, and I was left for 20 mins with cream that she had applied. i would have liked advice at the start of my appointment as even with 55 min, she 'didn't have time' to apply anything more than basic nail varnish. All in all, could have done it myself in half the time and saved myself £40.
