A little update for the website. Glad to finally be able to do this!

Still here! Still working on the final stages of the book with our layout and design team. Not long to wait!

Spent a very interesting few hours at Venlo on the Dutch/German border on Friday. . . NJG/1 were based there in WWII. I wonder what it could all mean? 🧐

Thanks everyone for your patience. You’ll be pleased to know that the manuscript is now done! Everything seems to be signed off ready for layout. We should be going to the printers within the next couple of weeks. In the meantime here’s an extract chosen at random to whet your appetites.............. ‘‘On my first successful operational sortie, I could hardly believe that such a steel colossus as a tank could be fought, let alone destroyed. On this mission I was late in recog...nising the tank, then I saw it crouching there, big and heavy and wide, defiantly pressing itself into the ground as if saying, “You can’t hurt me...!” ‘I completely forgot to fire my weapons; forgot that I was supposed to shoot at the tank, and on my second approach, in my excitement, I only fired my machine guns, with the result that only pieces of its camouflage fell away. On my next pass, I managed to score a direct hit and inflict fatal damage, though I didn’t realise this until told so by my Rottenführer. At first, the tank began to smoke. Then flames broke out and, slowly, it started to burn brightly. It looked like a spirit stove and was throwing off sparks. Now I knew what I could do with my weapon it gave me courage.”

Maciej Noszczak, who has produced many fine scale plans for the likes of Kagero and Mushroom Publishing, has finished our specially commissioned cowling drawings, showing all known variants. Another step closer to the finishing line!

The beautiful digital profiles by Janusz Swiatlon have been signed off by the author...there will be 13 profiles in all and, hopefully, decals for the model makers... just in time for the imminent Zoukei Mura kit! Here's a sneak preview 😎

Things are edging forwards slowly. The manuscript is now just about finished, ready for its second copy-edit. Then, we start work on dropping in the hundreds of superb photos we have. After that, it'll be time for layout design. More news as we have it! Rich

So....'limited print run' - what are your thoughts? We are thinking 750-1,000 copies maximum. Don't want to flood the market with huge numbers of copies! There are probably 3,000 copies of the old edition floating around, yet they still go for serious money. Opinions on a postcard!

When the book goes into production I'm thinking 320gsm semi-gloss paper, fully justified serif text, glossy laminate board covers, rounded spine, place marker... what do you think makes a good quality book? Bear in mind that the photos will play an important part in this title, as will the profiles, the drawings - all of it! Do you have any layout preferences? All comments appreciated!

Hi guys! It's time for this month's new eBay listings. As of around 19.00 GMT today (thurs 16th August) there will be 400 fantastic books on offer. There are plenty of rarities as usual, including over 20 scarce USAF unit histories, over 30 books multi-signed by RAF & US veterans, dozens of scarce French and German language books, many rare armour, military, aviation and naval books, rare Luftwaffe titles and hundreds of rarities overall.
Some items are listed on eBay France ...and eBay Germany, in Euros, and the rest are on eBay UK in GBP, although everything you win will be sent in one package for one shipping cost.
Everything has a low start price regardless of rarity and there are no reserve prices.
