14 million people, in the UK, use continence pads, of which, 4 million have severe incontinence. Currently, incontinence is managed with pads, which is an effective solution if they are changed regularly. Our solution, is a warning device that consists of a reusable rubber band, which sends a signal to a bracelet that the carer wears. They, can then change the patient's pads as soon as possible, reducing their discomfort and avoiding infections and pressure ulcers. This also significantly reduces admissions to hospitals for conditions like these, saving millions of pounds to the national health service. For nursing homes, warnings can be sent to a centralized computer, instead of the bracelet. This product is unique and will transform the treatment of incontinence world wide.
