Just returned home from an awesome weekend in Brighton with my wife and 4 kids Daughter 14 and 3 sons 11, 11, 4.This weekend made even more memorable by this wonderful site.Beki was the perfect host, attentive and considerate which complemented the essence of the campsite.Beautiful views in an idilic location, a real chance to immerse with nature and enjoy all that it provides.Myself and all of our family have said that this is definitely on our list of places to visit again.

Stayed here as a group of 6 adults and 5 children over the Easter weekend. Absolute gem of a site. Brand new composting toilets which were perfectly clean and decent sized pitches. If you have a large tent though you may struggle for size in some of the pitches and also use the fire pit safely. The kids loved the freedom of the site and spent loads of their time messing about down by the barn. Beki was really helpful and knowledgable and at no point did she intrude on our stay and left us to our own devices. The only downside and I am being picky here is the lack of running hot water. Yes hot water is available but only from a Burco water boiler and only if you fired it up and heated the water before it was needed.

That being said and to summarise, we had a great stay, all of us came away totally relaxed and would definitely think about returning in the future.

I stayed at Chantry for 5 nights sleeping in my one man tent. I had the most fabulous time wandering around the hills and found Beki to be engaging and giving of her time. I loved the experience of the bush toilets and showering using just a jug of water. Peaceful and friendly!

Chantry farm campsite is a beautiful place to stay close to Brighton and Hove, taxi cost around £18 and took less than 15minutes. By far the best option for us. The composting toilets were clean & well kept.
The 9 acre field accommodates just 7 camping spots, nicely spread out. Each site has its own fire area & a wood basket can be purchased on site.
Beki was extremely helpful and informative.
We will definately stay here again

What a fantastic location, high above the downs. We really enjoyed our time here, many thanks to Beki for making our stay so memorable and making us so welcome

We decided to come here for my boyfriends 26th birthday and we had nothing but arguments all weekend.

Basically even though the website says "no amplified music" apparently that means no music is allowed at all.

We paid to hire out the whole site as there was 18 of us and the owner still put 2 other tents on the site who werent with us who didn't complain once at us.

Beki started ripping down everyones tents *with them in* and was angry from the on set.

Nice campsite with beautiful views but if you're looking for a nice weekend with your mates then Id suggest maybe go to another campsite.

I'm sitting in the porch of my tent looking out across fields and hills, watching some cows graze in the distance. Chantry Farm is beautiful. Solar panels and a place to charge your phone, a composting loo and pitches spaced out so nicely that everyone gets their own bit of the peace and quiet. The owner, Beki, is warm, welcoming and her attitude is inspiring.

There's also a place to wash dishes, hot water for a wash and a little outdoor cubicle to wash in as well as eco friendly soap to wash your hands.

I camped for one night as part of a cycle tour through the UK. The hills getting into Pyecombe are hard going, and if you're cycling from London I can recommend turning off of the classic London to Brighton route at Ditchling to get here.

I was recommended to visit Chantry Farm by a small family I met at another Campsite in Norfolk and I'm so glad I came. Completely recommended for a chilled out eco friendly trip and I will be back again soon!

Nice off grid campsite with composting toilets. Small and pretty on the Brighton leg of South Downs, a good starting point for the South Downs Way.

However was quite close to the motorway and didn't really get a peaceful nights kip.

My husband and our 7 year old and I had the most wonderful camping experience at Chantry and we throughly recommend staying here we look forward to going back as soon as possible. We were wonderfully greeted by Becky and partner. Becky suggested exploring Three Greys horse riding school/treking for kids/Adults located along the South Downs!! A memorable weekend.
Thank you
