I used to go here with my grandparents, whilst holidaying this area. many a 1970's Giles annual was purchased. The proprietor used to wear jester shoes and trousers, does he still run it?

Great book shop

For the local village, this place must be essential and adds to the unique fabric of the area. For outsiders, it's a quirky detour - thousands of books on all subjects, mostly vintage of course, and also a collections of vinyls (including some Beatles, Cream, Elvis). If you're driving through the area, I'd recommend dropping by (you can park outside it).

We often stop here to browse through the impressive selection of books. The owner provides cups of tea and there are chairs and tables provided.

Excellent stock. Academic quality books too. Not cheap but well organised and some rariti es. Free tea available. Recommended.

Quirky place. Not the best in the region by any stretch but interesting. Large military section. Some prices seemed a bit high, others were fine. Didn't find anything I wanted though.
