The Spotted Dog is our local. It's a proper old Irish pub and a hotbed of music. Whether contemporary or classical, trad or fusion, real live music is a permanent fixture at The Dog. Tuesdays feature touring bands at the forefront of the contemporary jazz scene followed by a late jam, and our fellow Fazeley Studios tenants, Stoney Lane Records, had the good sense to release a blistering compilation of live cuts from those Jazz at the Spotted Dog nights earlier this year. We were delighted to provide a typographic sleeve for this critically acclaimed CD, inspired by modernist book covers and printed inside out on reverse board for an extra tactile matte finish.

Lovely couple Lucy and Patrick wanted a personal, hand-crafted touch for their stationery, to fit the style of their wedding. Ning-ning worked with them to create a watercolour and ink portrait of the happy couple as well as little details of their big day. We picked a classic but underused typeface to give a story book feel to these invitations and printed them on beautiful, textured Italian art paper. The original paintings were included as keepsakes and we're very pleased to hear that their flower girl adores her portrait!

We first became friends through Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble and five years later their art is one of our favourite things to make. Ning-ning's signature face and body painting style has also become integral to the band's look on stage. For the band's critically acclaimed first studio album, Painted, Tom photographed Nings and other band members painted up and we created a range of promo print and merchandise to accompany their 20th Anniversary tour. 2018 is just as exciting and we're working on a whole bunch of new stuff for this year's lineup.
