Chapter House Choir, York

The Chapter House Choir, directed by Ben Morris (Assistant Director of Music, York Minster), is one of the North of England’s foremost chamber choirs and has been delighting audiences in Yorkshire for over 50 years.

Formed in 1965 by a group of Minster Songmen and their wives to raise funds for the Minster, the Chapter House Choir was soon established as one of the country’s leading amateur chamber choirs. We specialise in a cappella works encompassing the full breadth of the choral repertoire, from the Renaissance to new commissions, including much that is neglected or challenging.
