Well, what a summer it's been! 🌞✨🌠
Since June we have brought our summer productions to some of the most beautiful venues the UK and Ireland have to offer.
That's nearly 200 individual shows, performed by three casts, to thousands of people over the last three months. We want to take a moment to thank the production team, our hard-working and talented actors and directors, the wonderful venues we have had the privilege of visiting, and, of course, YOU - our audiences, without... whom none of this would be possible.
Thank you for buying tickets and coming along to see our shows. As we gear up for our 20th year of touring, it's humbling to look back and see that there is still lots of enthusiasm and appetite for open-air theatre. We're already excited about the six shows we're going to be touring next year... πŸ‘€πŸŽ
But until then, we've got a show in Saudi Arabia, a national tour of China, and our UK winter run of A Christmas Carol to look forward to!

What an evening!!!!! Just spent the evening at Tullynally House and Gardens in Castlepollard, Co Westmeath watching Sherlock Holmes - it was excellent!!!! Really enjoyed the production - brilliant cast and a great script!!! Will definitely be watching out for you guys when you come back over to Ireland!!!

User

We watched Sense and Sensibility tonight at Haughton Hall and it was captivating, all actors involved made this a perfect performance for a summers evening....thank you

User

This evening I was lucky enough to see 'Jane Eyre' at Fota House in Cork, Ireland. This is the 3rd performance my fiance and I have seen by the Chapterhouse Theater Company and as always we had a fantastic evening. One of the highlights was the Lions from Fota Wildlife Park who joined in the performance by roaring! Which made the beast on the moors sound all the more real and frightening. We can't wait to for the next time they are in town!

User

Thankyou for treating my wife and I to a wonderful early Christmas present, at The Spa, Bridlington, last evening. Your Christmas Carol production was superb, and we were devastated to leave. The actors were just emense, special mention to your Ghost Of Christmas Yet To Come puppet, which both shocked and delighted and to every other character, a fantastic well played. Loved it!!!

Note. The Tiny Tim death scene gave us goosebumps, only matched by the whole of Phantom of the Opera and Wicked, and Climb Every Mountain, from The Sound of Music. Both of them were seen in the West End, so high praise is much needed.

User

Thank you to the cast of Sense and Sensibility last night at Oldbridge house Drogheda. The performance was excellent, even if the set did have a little wobble in the wind.

However "Mr Willoughby" was on hand with a hammer to effect an immediate repair.

Well done to all we love that you visit Ireland ever year :)

User

I went to see your production of Little Women at Belton House on Saturday. A brilliant performance set in gorgeous surroundings. I wasn't the only one suffering with watery eyes! Just a great evening out. Thank you

User

I have seen numerous productions outdoors taking my mum and also going with my lovely boyfriend. This week I got tickets for A Christmas Carol for four of us...me, my boyfriend Chris, my lovely niece and her boyfriend. Another fabulous production. Never been disappointed. For a guaranteed great night out I highly recommend going to a Chapterhouse Theatre Company production 🎦😍🎭

User

I cried and laughed with you tonight in Wells House. A tremendous performance! Bravo!!

User

Hilarious performance of Midsummers. All the family had a superb time. Well done for carrying on in the rain for so long and thank you for ending the play on the Savill Garden restaurant!!! We were lucky to have such an intimate performance. Great!

User

Fantastic outdoor performance of Little Women last night at Lytham Hall. Congratulations!

User

Fab performance of Robin Hood at Parkland Primary School this afternoon - very well done - both my son and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

User

Congratulations to you all on an absolutely fantastic performance of A Midsummer Nights Dream at Roadford Lake in Devon this evening. We thought you were all amazing actors and hysterically funny. The stunning backdrop made it extra special and I could see you all still acting and in character as you ran off down the slopes during and after each scene. It was so funny! I have loads of photos and some video clips if you want to see any of them. Thank you and please come back again soon.

User

Been this evening for a fantastic performance of Sherlock Holmes at Ashby this evening. A really atmospheric setting. Relaxed evening with many laughs and a really enjoyable time. Many thanks to all involved.

User

User

Alice in Wonderland at Hatfield House (2018 season) was brilliant; A lovely family event.

User

A personal thank you to the actor who played Darcy (and Mr Bennett) in today's open air production of Pride and Prejudice at the Institute of Continuing Education, Madingley Hall, Cambridge. My 9 year old son, Louie, approached him in the interval and he kindly spoke with him for some time, giving him some inspirational advice on following his dreams and beating bullying attitudes in doing so. His encouragement and enthusiasm means a lot to my son and I thank you for taking that time to do that.

I'm sorry that I don't remember your name, but thank you.

Yesterday evening I attended West Wycombe Park to see 'Jane Eyre' performed by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company. Having seen many performances at open air theatres I was thoroughly looking forward to seeing one of my favourite most beloved books adapted into a play. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I felt that the writing was non subtle and frankly it felt as though the writer of the piece had read some kind of GCSE sparknotes and adapted it into a play. I think that the mystery and tension surrounding Bertha was reduced and cheapened into a stereotypical ghost story and though the scenery was limited it could have been used much more effectively. The french accents were laughable! I could almost forgive the fact that about a quarter of the book had been missed out entirely if it were not for the fact that Aunt Reed was featured and the details of Jane's childhood were just slipped in as if the writer felt they needed to reference them somehow so they would just put them in there. It did not do the book justice whatsoever and it was crushing to watch my favourite novel reduced to this. Very disappointing indeed.
