Wonderful Family BBQ event held in the riverside garden in perfect weather. What a transformation this establishment has had over the last few months. New owners new chefs new menus. I’ve eaten dinner here too recently. First class. Keep up the good work

We love it here. We try to go for all our special occassion. We've taken friends to who now love as much as we do. Staff are the most professional well mannered with amazing attention to detail people ever. You will not be disappointed with the scrummy excellent food too. Give it try xxx.

We held our wedding reception here on 5th May, totally amazing - fantastic staff, the garden was transformed into a beautiful outdoor party and BBQ area, just stunning - can't wait to get our photos back and see the stream and garden in full effect. Used our My Voucher Book voucher and we were not dissappointed. Beautiful food and just the right portion size for a lunch time. Toffee sauce on the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. Nice relaxed atmosphere and professional, friendly service. We will definitely be returning and would recommend to our friends and family.

This Wedding venue was like beautiful Labyrinth. From the outside it looks quite small,how wrong was I.

A stunning setting by the river bank, our friends chose a bbq . Fabulous food which was cooked by the chefs outside.3 bars, including one outside made it perfect for getting drinks quickly.

Staff couldn't of been more attentive throughout the day, taking any hassle away from the bride & groom , making my bridesmaid duties a lot easier ,nothing was too much trouble big thank you to all the staff especially Rachel & Jordan,

Rachel and Carl were brilliant, helpful and reassuring while organising our wedding. The hotel and outside area was transformed into a beautiful reception with a bar. The food was incredible, especially the chicken kebabs �, we had a perfect day. Everything went to plan.



A wedding needs to be perfect in every way, the staff at Chapters Hotel & Restaurant made sure this happened. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone.

Just had probably the best Sunday lunch ever at Chapters. Every morsel absolutely perfect. Definitely visit here again. Heavenly. Great service too.

I visited Chapters with the family for Sunday Lunch and found it to be one of the best Sunday Lunches I have ever had. It was a perfect mix of tradition and new. Our lunches of Roast Beef and Roast Chicken were cooked to perfection and with a really generous portion of meat, the Yorskhire Puddings & veg were also great! Normally we would feel rushed on a Sunday to let the restaurant get more customers in, but not at Chapters, we were sat comfortably and relaxed for as long as we wanted. Value wise you cannot fault 3 courses of that standard. Excellent service from all staff, the surroundings again excellent and the food is superb. I would highly recommend.

I see a lot of things have changed since we went in February 2001. I was beautiful then as well. I stayed here due to a business trip and everything was great. If we happen to go back for pleasure i will definitely stay here again. The employees here were amazing and so friendly. The kitchen was amazing as well. Thank you!

Having stayed at the hotel Saturday night after enjoying attending the festival organised by Alex from The Mill it was a wonderful experience- I met the new manager Callum such a friendly guy with a warm Irish tone made my husband and I very welcome the room was lovely and apparently they are still refurbishing ( will have to stay again once it’s done ) breakfast was well presented and lovely staff extremely pleasant and saying good morning with a smile was s good start to the day

Came here with my friend for an afternoon tea which I'd purchased from groupon & it was beautiful and an absolute bargain too! All presented on a small wooden picnic table. All staff lovely and friendly & nothing was too much trouble either! We were that full we had to take the rest home with us . But definitely highly recommend & looking forward to going for another one very soon.

Afternoon tea with the wife. Lovely setting and the food was very nice. Even bagged up the leftovers which unfortunately I forgot.

Stayed because my family live nearby great location,the room was a good size nicely presented however after a.closer look very tiered little more shabby than chic ! Had a meal was ok for the price but they have no idea how to serve a gin & tonic. Breakfast was good ,very friendly young staff .

This was possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had. I won't be returning while it's under the same owner. To start with they wanted to take our plates away before everyone had finished and asked at least twice if we had finished, when clearly there was somebody still eating. The desert came out, two us ordered chocolate brownie, there was no chocolate sauce even though the menu stated it came with sauce. I had to ask and it came out in a little jug but was cold. I had to ask for another jug for the other person and by the time it arrived we had all finished. Bitterly disappointed with the experience and has certainly gone down hill since the last owners.

Terrible experience heard it was a lovely place years ago, very little in menu to offer customers. My husband ordered the chicken parmo which tasted off therefore left after one bite. I ordered the steak pie and the chips were undercooked, vegetables looked old and drab. Needs an updated in decoration very dated and tired. Very pushy on taking orders menus given with no actual menu in.

Will inform as many people as possible just how awful this is. Try your local takeaway, a lot cheaper, tastier and better quality
