Charity Store Wars Derby

About Charity Store Wars Derby

Store Wars (Derby) is an annual event in the city of Derby, designed to encourage businesses to work more closely with charities and community groups. Set up in 2017 by the Business in the Community, Business Connector for Derby, and local CVS - Community Action Derby. Store Wars will be organised each year, hopefully bigger and better until it becomes an established part of the cities calendar. Businesses are paired with charities or community groups to work together on a specific day to use their initiative and generate as much money as possible for the charity or community group. The first event used only charity shops in the city centre, this year, Derby City Council have offered a number of stalls in the Market Hall. This allows charities and community groups to take part using "pop-up" charity shops. The "teams" compete to see who can raise the most money on the day in a friendly and fun packed event in the city of Derby. Supported in 2017 by Derby City Council, All Video Productions, Poppy PR, Motorpoint, Simply Uniform Ltd and Ashfield Printing. This year's support is coming from Derby City Council, All Video Productions and Poppy PR.
