Check opening times before setting off. I got there eventually with half hour to walk around. Lots of history of the business and how traction engines are made with lots of jigs and formers etc. Dad's Army Jones's delivery lorry and some other working traction engines on display. Helpful and informative staff.
Love this place, small but great.
Adult engineers will like it, the kids may not, but to be fair it's not a kiddy subject.
Interesting. The cream tea was just delicious. Friendly, helpful staff and very interesting museum.
We loved seeing the traction engine, steam roller and showman's engine. There are lots of interesting things to see and read too, giving insight about the engines and the works that made them, and some educational and fun exhibits you can play with (belts and pulleys, pistons). Everyone's very friendly and there's even a nice cafe. And it's free! But it's well with making a donation...
The volunteer staff were very helpful, and answered all my questions.
Good
