In response to a significant reduction in demand for self-service DIY parts, and increased interest in our more convenient off the shelf parts service, we have after over 90 years decided to close the DIY yard at the Poole site. Saturday 29th September will be the last day of opening.
After so many years this will be a very sad day for us but also for the genuine 'DIYers'. Predominantly DIY has always been made up of older vehicles >10 years.... We will continue to expand our very successful online business which now accounts for over 90% of our annual part sales - www.trents.co.uk/car-parts - and over time we will introduce older parts available to purchase from your phone, tablet or computer saving you the customer valuable time.

This is how a business should be run! I ordered a part on Monday - it arrived the next day in St Andrews, Fife - from Dorset!! First class communication, part as described, packaged properly AND at a great price. How refreshing!! Would reccommend and use Charles trent in future.

These guys really looked after me; as I'm clueless about mechanical things & even reversed my car out of the bay as I was worried about doing it. They were polite & I witnessed their helpful manner dealing with less than helpful customers who weren't English & they dealt with the language barrier very professionally. I would definitely recommend them. Their prices are also very competitive...!

Struggling to get a part, stumbled across these guys, great knowledge and Customer service, quick delivery and part slotted straight in, £54 for a part the main dealer quoted £390 for, I am very happy. Will defo use again and recommend to anybody. Cheers

I had wonderful service from Tyrebay Poole. David provided fantastic help. He arranged packing for dispatch to Australia of an uncommon VW Touareg wheel. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks guys 5star rating!!!!

I had a phone call back within a couple of hours, much sooner than I thought it would be, talked to a very pleasant and friendly member of the team who went through everything that I would need to tell them of regarding the car, they gave me an honest price and when the car was picked up (I was able to pick a choice of dates, and received a phone call 30 mins before!), the equally pleasant pick up driver, did not quibble over the price. I received the money in my bank 3 days later - very happy customer.

Great customer service via e mail and sends parts outside UK which is great because im Maltese. 5 star recommended excellent service . Greetings from Malta.

Second car I've scrapped in the last year. They gave me a fair price and it was easy to do. One thing I will say. If you do it online be careful. Silver lake or line, can't remember which, is a site that hijacks Trents site if you're not paying attention. They offer you a slightly better price. My first scrapper caught me out and yesterday there was an irate customer giving the server Loads of unnecessary abuse.

It was his mistake, the same as mine was first time round. So careful on what site you book it on.

So overall an easy experience and a fair price

Collection rearranged & I was offered free same day payment as goodwill gesture.

The car has now been collected but the same day transfer hasn’t happened! Not terribly impressed I’m afraid!

Whilst I will admit in the first place that there service is more than fair,making an offer of payment of £23 for a 99 Volkswagen Golf, they came out on the arranged day to collect the scrap vehicle, having already explained that the vehicle is scrap with a broken engine( cam belt broke)I find out only after the collection that they are witholding £10 of the £23 payment because the battery was missing? I do feel perhaps for future reference if the battery is going to make up nearly 50% of the value of scrap vehicles it may be more prudent to point out such conditions in the beginning.

Sold me the wrong engine and a knackered turbo would not recommend and the customer services are disgusting

I ordered part for my car confirming that I'll receive by tomorrow they agreed. Next day I received a text msg from a courier company that it will arrive on the third day.when I asked why did it happen,they had no clue and said can only apologise. It effected my job nearly got kicked off..ridiculous service.

Fucking shift service biggest thief ever seen in my life look 5 pounds to hand over the car and steel all the extra items from the car.
