Auntie Alison has borrowed these photos from Twitter. Just a taster of what we have been doing in Tanzania. Can you believe the trip is nearly over? I'll be home late on Tuesday with lots of stories to tell and more photos to share. Thank you to everyone who helped me take part in this amazing experience.

After a year of various fundraising events, the day of departure has finally arrived. The last month has been quite amazing: finishing GCSEs and leaving school; together with my brother, Tom, giving away my crazy aunt, Alison, in marriage to Greg; then dressing up again for Prom; I was honoured to be selected for Team GB Pentathlon U17 World Championships. This caused a logistical challenge... I got home from Bulgaria yesterday, quick turnaround, last breakfast, then back to... school to meet up with the Camps International team. Think I'll be sleeping on the flight! Thank you to everyone who has supported and contributed to my fundraising efforts. I am both excited and nervous about this trip but will try to enjoy every minute of it. Thanks to mum & dad for letting me go. I'll report here whenever I am able. See you in August - just in time for GCSE results!

Last night, the dinner kindly hosted by Graeme Kelly & Susan Jordan took place. My Godparents are the best!! Thomas and I arrived early for some basic hospitality training. The menu was extensive so detailed orders had to be taken - hence me looking serious! Drinks and canapes on arrival as everyone caught up on their news. All seated for dinner; Sue plated up while Tom and I served to the guests. Same for the main course. Lots of chatting before dessert as we assisted Sue to... make the notorious chocolate fondants - she has this nailed! They were fabulous. Cheese plate, port and liqueurs finished of the evening. Thank you all so much for donating for this event and to Sue & Graeme for the most generous donation of hosting. It was a great evening that I will remember forever. Attended by: mum & dad, Alison & Greg, Andrew & Tracey, Mick & Tina.

Long overdue update on the Silent Auction lots. Now the shooting season has finished, Greg Dare has been able to take George Harris on his day pigeon shooting. Was a tad blustery today but the hide provided shelter in the morning session. In the afternoon they moved spots for roost shooting. They got through plenty of cartridges but achieved a fairly respectable number of pigeons! Many thanks to 'Uncle' Greg for his expertise, kit and tutoring and George for buying the day. I hope you both enjoyed it.
