came home on holiday from denmark went to Charlies bar . good service fab food

and a very freindly irish women at the bar . would recommend . a lovely place

The food is really good and very filling as you get good sized portions and the deserts are massive it's just a loverly place to go too

The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Great atmosphere and cheap drinks. A winner all round.

Since meeting Charlie in 1997 ish I have grown to really adore Charlie, she is so accommodating, organised and really hard working and makes everyone feel so special and greets all with great respect. Everyone is so friendly and a lovely evening is always guaranteed at her beautifully created friendly bar.

Probably the friendliest bar in Colchester ate in there last night OMG the food was 5* would deffo recommend

One of my favourite places in Colchester! Instead of happy hour we have ecstatic 150 minutes, the cocktails are great, the food is wonderful and the staff couldn't be friendlier. I brought my daughter here for a birthday dinner and she couldn't have had a better time.

Just had a lovely home cooked meal will be definitely visiting again!!

I popped into Charlie’s for 1 yesterday and ended up staying all evening, there is such a great atmosphere and Charlie is very welcoming so that made me feel a lot more comfortable. Will definitely be going back �

First time ever I have been to Charlie's bar. It's full of regulars that make you feel so welcome lovely atmosphere and also the chef makes a divine cheesecake
