We all struggle at times with the pressures of having a hectic life and family stresses. Sometimes we really want to tell our partners, our friends or our families how we are feeling but we worry that they might not understand. We worry about how they might react if we told them what we are really thinking or feeling. Instead we press our feelings down and say 'I'm fine' when we are asked how we are when often we don't feel fine on the inside. We just smile and try to get on with things as best we can.


Everyone deserves the opportunity to be open about what is on their mind or how they are feeling inside. No one deserves to be living with stress, anxiety or depression that is stopping them from enjoying life and their relationships. I will provide you that chance to explore what is on your mind or going on in your life in a warm, accepting environment. You will be free to explore those thoughts and feelings without judgement and by doing so you may find your own strengths and resources to move forward to where you want to be. I will work to support you as we work through whatever it is that is troubling you and causing you pain or to be unhappy with how things are.


As a nurse I have over 15 years experience in helping patients with physical illnesses. As a counsellor I have been able to build on that knowledge and experience to provide counselling to patients suffering a wide range of issues including chronic pain /fatigue, cancer and recovery from life changing illnesses. I also work with carers and partners, providing emotional and psychological help and support to enable them to cope with the stresses they endure in their role as carer.
