Charlton Police Car Pound

Sometimes i wonder what the fuss is, here they think everyone coming in is a criminal. It takes nothing to be respectful and professional.This is the worst representation of the MET Police and it is disgraceful. I hope one day you uneducated people working there, realise your human and your families will be affected also one way or another.

Actually, I think it is understandable why people think the staff here are rude and unhelpful - they are doing a thankless task and are just following rules, that most people disagree with (including me TBH).
But I went there today expecting the worse (I didn't have a physical license on me although DVLA had updated my records online) and I was greeted with a very helpful chap who listened to me and said everything was in order! I think the problem with this place is a cast-off of the institutional racism that exists in the Met Police. If you're white, middle class and well spoken, things are easy. Unfortunately, 95% of the people there today were not any of those! I don't agree with that but that's reality!

What A disgusting, unprofessional, bad behaviour by the staff, I very much sympathise with the people whose gone through such experience. SOO MANY BAD NAGATIVE FEED BACK, but no action!

Never been to a car pound before, was quite nervous to go there But the police staff that I spoke to was very helpful and kind.

THE FACTS ARE ANY MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WHO COME HERE AND LEAVE POSITIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE STAFFS TREATMENT TOWARDS THE PUBLIC ARE THE POLICE IMPOSING AS THE PUBLIC. THE POLICE HAVE BEEN OPPERSING THE PUBLIC FOR YEARS AND THE TREATMENT YOU GET AT THIS POUND IS JUST EMBARRASING AND SHAME ON ANYONE WHO LEAVES A POSTIVE MESSAGE REGARDING THE STAFF AT THIS POUND. I HAVE A VIDEO I RECORDED AND I WILL POST IT ONCE MY LAWYERS TELL ME THE CASE IS CONCLUDED.

This place is full of ungreatful and rude people especially the manager. They don't want to take responsibility for their action and most of the time informations are badly passed on to motorists. You write a complain to them and you never get an answer back. disgraceful.

Went there and picked up my motorcycle. The guy was really nice and as helpful as he could be apologized for having to charge me storage. O but man that hill

One of the worst pounds in the uk you have to wait 2 full days to get your car out

Despite the negative reviews posted my experience was entirely positive, At every level the staff were courteous and professional and as another poster said"be nice to them and they will be nice to you"Some advice would be to make sure you book an appointment,if you are going to be late then let them know,make sure you have all your paperwork in order when you get there and try to be positive as I am sure they see their fair share of unhappy people!

One of the worst place known to man-kind

Always finding an excuse to not give the car. The compound refuses to let us use the alternatives that a logbook has even though on the metropolitan police website, it says otherwise. Always finding a reason to charge more.

Disgusting , no phone , and joy to come when I turn up , roll on bloody Monday

The staff are nice if you're nice to them.
