Bit short staffed today, - sorry if you have to wait for phones to be answered, but we have a core #dreamteam here who have braved the snow and the Skye is doing a great job at drying the boots!

User

Had the pleasure of photographing our new Skye stove at The Long House, Padmore - a wildly eccentric new rental property in East Cowes on the Isle of Wight. The stove features a faded green VLAZE chamber panel behind and a burnt red VLAZE hearth plate in front.

An almond Island I installed using a vitreous enamel VLAZE hearth and heat shield set featuring a crackle glaze finish. This is a quick-to-fit fireplace solution. In this case it allowed the stove to be placed just 100mm from the stud wall behind.

We've had our charnwood country stove for couple of years now, so easy to use, never difficult to light or control unlike others we've used in holiday cottages. So glad we like to buy British !! Highly recommended.

I've had a country 6 stove for approx 20 years. Found the boiler had a leak the other day. 1st class service from Charnwood who arranged delivery to local store within 24 hours. Thank you very much .. can't ask for better customer service

User

I ordered spare parts for my Charnwood Country 16b and they were delivered next day. I live in Scotland. Excellent service.

User

I ordered a spare part for out Country 6 stove on Monday. Hedging my bets I asked if it could be delivered asap and was told it would arrive on Monday 29th. Not bad, I thought, especially given the Christmas period and stories about parcels not arriving. Imagine then my surprise when the parcel arrived today.....2 days later . Thank you SO much for sorting this out for me; given we're on the Isle of Skye makes it even more a celebratory occasion and free delivery too!!!

User

I import Charnwood stoves into South Africa. I needed a spare part for a client and the team fabricated and air freighted the part within 5 days! Thanks for the excellent service Charnwood.

we bought a C5 for our 3 bed bungalow 3years ago, and found it heated the whole bungalow it was very good until we came to change the fire bricks, there is a nut at the back of the stove that had to be removed, and there was not enough room between the stove and the back of the chimney breast to get to the nut undone, fortunately the dealer came out and moved the stove forward so we could change the fire bricks, so if anybody buy's one of these make sure you can get your arm and a spanner on the back nut. other than that BRILLiANT

User

Love our C5.

Promoting wood burning is an evil thing to do.

ALL WOOD BURNERS NEED TO BE BANNED.

There is no such thing as a "clean burning stove". All emit pollution at hundreds of times any possibly safe level. In fact the amount of wood smoke that anyone should breathe is zero.

Wood smoke kills through its cardiotoxicity and its carcinogenicity. It causes strokes, heart attacks, asthma, brochitis, childhood cancers, lung cancers, COPD, SIDS and stillbirths. Yes woodstoves kill babies.

Island 111B - Almond. Paint on fire & flue poor, especially flue, bubbled and peeled off. No expert painted our stove! We re-sprayed and did an excellent job, although a smelly and messy process. We complained but no satisfactory answer and gave up. Aftercare service - POOR.

In the second year (use 5/6 months PA) the glass cracked in one door, to me this is a safety issue, but Charnwood said it was normal. I would check before buying another stove in the future to see what glass a supplier uses as it could be down to quality and expense. We had to pay for a new piece of glass and fitting.

The glass is always black when the fire is burning and it is a job to clean every day.

The fire base to door ratio is too close (not deep enough), so every time you open the door ash falls out and it is a constant job cleaning in front of the stove.

I also find downstairs quite cold, output is not very good, but the stove does a good job of heating the upstairs radiators.

Ash trays are awkward to remove with the tool provided.

If I could afford to replace it I certainly would!

I have alresdy made contact regarding

my stove as all the bars are burnt . No agent has ever called as promised.I am not happy with after ssle service.

User

Had two stoves in the last 9 years and welds gone on both. Water everywhere, not much fun! Not buying another one of these. Don't even reply to our emails.
