Chatsworth Hotel

I stayed here this weekend. I was looked after. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Could have what you liked. Lovely waitress very efficient. Booked again for November!!

stayed one night, reception friendly and helpful, hotel could do with a lick of paint inside and out especially name board. We had room 216 next to lift which we thought would be a bit noisy but no! We didn't have breakfast as it's cheaper down the road. Worst case is the steps to the reception half of them missing ( a real health hazard) was disappointed to find the bar closed on our return at 11.pm. We will not be returning.

Stopped overnight, staff friendly. We arrived late as we had visited a relative in Chapel but no room for us to stop there. Couldn't get any parking but staff were helpful and left car on street until morning. The staff then moved the car at 8.00 due to the traffic restrictions. Breakfast was lovely, and all staff very friendly. I would stop again.

An effort has been made to update this hotel, however it is really low standard. Walls are paper thin and we could hear the chap nextdoor snoring. Added to this there was mould growing all over the walls in the bathroom and a whiff of insecticide on the pillows. We were woken 3 times by maids attempting to service our room at 8am. Only advice I can give is to avoid this place - out of a 2 night stay we lasted 12hrs before leaving.

Apart from the waitresses who are friendly and helpful and the food very good I can't say the same for the room. Anyone staying in room 102 I would suggest you asked for different one. This room should not be used as a guest room, the reason being it doubles as a fire exit. There's a fire emergency light which as most people know it's got to be on all the time, trying sleeping with a light on is hard. The bed seems to be 2 mattresses on top of each other. The fire door leading out to the fire escape is not secure there's a gap at the top and at the bottom. (Please note : this is a single room)

Just had a good weekend at the Chatsworth. It is a basic hotel, needs a bit of TLC. The waitress was very good and friendly. We enjoyed the meals and the company

Service was not good at all, waited at reception for almost an hour to be seen, the man at the desk obviously hated his job and made sure that we knew it, bedding was stained and smelly and the sink was blocked with hair
