The best of urban and country on your doorstep and relatively economical and peaceful
Lovely town, friendly people ,near to Alton Towers Theme Park, quite a few eating places, pubs, cafes and shops,Great for walkers to see the surrounding Countryside, lovely churches,Bus routes to nearby,Hanley ,Uttoxeter,Leek,Railway in Uttoxeter,Blythe Bridge which travel to Derby or Crewe. We have lived here 18 years and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.
Lovely little town with nice people, great access to Alton Towers from there too....
Love living here. nice, quiet, pretty, friendly!
Live Cheadle my girls and I feel safe and the people are so friendly x
It's a very friendly, pretty little town. I like the unquie independent shops.
I live here haha, but born and bred Threapwood lass which is about 3 1/2miles away where The Highwayman pub was, there are plenty of beautiful walks around love it!!
I go every week to swim at the leisure centre, the only one in the area that caters for a women only session. For those of us that wish to be undressed without males around and who wish to swim without males in the pool, for whatever reason, Cheadle Leisure Centre gives us that freedom. Thank you. Cheadle town centre needs a revamp, its looking a bit tired, its market is almost not there, but there are stalwart stall holders who keep it alive. More incentive needed i think from the council for folks to hold a market free during the week maybe? Lastly your Town Cross looks very phallic, in fact it reminds me of the ancient paintings of the fertility man on the walls of Luxor Temple in Egypt...perhaps there is an ancient legend or reason that the town was known to have been very 'eager' in its fertility? Perhaps there are ancient records of population explosions and the town statesmen, proud of this acheivement, had the statue built. Who knows? I wish you much love and peace Cheadle, as i now take my tongue from my cheek. xxxx

A really friendly little town with lovely surrounding countryside, a nice handful of cafe/tea shops plus a hidden gem 💎 church designed by Pugin. 😊
A rather quaint part of the country with picturesque views surrounding you.I love it!
Worse places for sure, but seems like the amount of traffic is increasing. I live on Ashbourne Road and at times its rather irritating.
I live here loverly little town Friendly people, if your ever in the town try the Tudor Tea Rooms in the high street great value, friendly staff and they do a good afternoon tea a must
Happy to live here ,not perfect but still has lots going for it .
Don't understand why they insist on tagging us on to Stoke on trent when we are Staffordshire Moorlands!
Website is well out of date in many respects. It needs to be reviewed and updated regularly to be of any value to residents and visitors. For example - latest "news" entry is for December 2014! Town Councillors still without photographs - elect three years ago!
