Chelsey Honor

My name is Chelsey Honor and I'm a freelance artist and print designer. I specialise in designing digital prints, wallpapers, logos, fabrics and more. I recently designed a wallpaper for Madison Reed which is now displayed in all of their US salons and flagship stores. When designing, I aim to breathe life into things that others might perceive as ordinary, such as flowers, birds, pinecones, keys and more. I ensure I capture the tiny details and enjoy creating intricate designs which can be appreciated up close and from afar. I'm really interested in what I call the ‘structure' of things rather than the item itself – to me, it's all about the inner workings and individual parts of the finished article that make something enjoyable to look at. I love the idea that when I'm designing a repeat, the structure of my subject can stand on its own two feet without trying to be a lifelike realisation. If my customers are going to incorporate my patterns and prints, the designs need to be multi-purposed and have something more about them so that they can be enjoyed in the long run. I like to think I approach my work with a very rational thought process, but with the necessary creative flair to do more than just design a blueprint! I am more than happy to accommodate specific requests and create bespoke designs. I love talking through ideas and visions with clients and customers to make sure the finished product is something you love.
