Went to watch Brian Blessed with the curry and pint option beforehand. Very impressed, all the staff were very helpful and warm, I felt like they were greeting an old friend instead of a customer. Great seats, great show, we'll be back!

User

We saw John Shuttleworth last night, as a post chemoradiation therapy treat for my husband. We're both avid fans and listen every night ( on bbciplayer ). We just happened to pass by popped in to the foyer, saw the flyer for his show so HAD to come and see him - We arrived at doors opening time and got front row seats! It's a lovely venue and acoustics and sound quality was spot on! My husband has a stage 4 aggressive brain tumour and coming to a show was wonderful for us both - we're living every moment we can together in joy !! The show last night had my husband laughing so much ! This will be a fabulous memory! Thankyou ! X

User

Took both my kids to the science fair at the town hall, wow ! So much to see and do for kids and adults alike and so informative and inspiring for all, the displays and stand from business and universities were fab and fun, I now have a 9 yr old daughter that has her heart set on university! Thank you

User

The staff were so helpful, I had an operation after booking for the show, sadly it meant I needed to be in a wheelchair. I was given a disabled parking space to use, escorted to my seat which had been given extra leg room, plus a lovely man bought me a chair to elevate my poorly leg!!

Above and beyond the call of duty, would happily recommend. ïżœ

User

Rob Brydon was amazing I loved it. We were sat at the back and was not sure how much we would be able to see. We had a good view and I have never laughed so much. It was a very entertaining evening and a lovely venue.

User

My 5 * are for Debby and Elaine. Both were so friendly and helpful when I came to play my harp for Akash and Steffi's wedding day in July. Debby helped me with logistics of moving my harp and gear and Elaine helped me with parking, one of the most important aspects for a solo harpist! Thank you to both ladies and I'm looking forward to next time. Meredith

User

Lovely venue staff very friendly and the Poppy display in the Reception area was stunning. The Gilbert O Sullivan Concert was amazing and it was a sell out. Gilbert O Sullivan stayed behind to sign albums and have photos taken with him after the show - great evening. Thank you.

User

I was on my own with 2 young children to see a panto. The staff helped carry my drink while I help the children to be seated for thier ice creams, booster cushions were ready for free use, and there was a buggy parking space indoors. Recommended for any function or event.

User

I saw the ELO experience. My first time at the Town Hall. Sound quality was excellent and I had a really good view from my seat. The staff were lovely and friendly. I was impressed that there was a bar. During the interval there was a queue but you could take your drink with you so no pressure to drink up quickly. Overall excellent !

User

Went to see G4 Wednesday, who of course were fantastic, and the building is beautiful if a bit chilly at the beginning. Booking easy, parking easy, finding it easy, but those seats! Too close, too low! Stuck between two.....er...large people restricted my movement and my view of the stage, but did enjoy the night.

User

We went for the new year ball, beautiful building, and a great night with a fantastic band (the chip shop boys) .... if anyone actually reads this and takes constructive criticism - there was 1 main bar open (that served all drinks) with 3 (slow) bar staff we and others at the bar couldn't believe how long it took to get served, when we arrived 7.40pm it took over 30 mins to get out first drink, the cocktail bar on the other side wasn't even open until after the food?

User

Visited Monday evening to see Ruby Wax, as always the Town Hall is well organised and set up, and we had no problem at all with the booking process or the seating chosen. Acoustics were good and all had a clear view of the stage. Being able to pre-order drinks at the bar to collect at the intermission is a great time saver too! Previous visit for Mary Chapin Carpenter was just as good.

I would happily have given 5* but.. my small grumble as a disabled patron is that on both occasions the marked disabled toilet gets lost in the general queue for the ladies at intermission as they are all in the same room. This either means me being very uncomfortable trying to wait, or me getting embarrassed trying to convince people in the queue that I should be allowed priority access, neither of which is ideal. I'm sure there must be more than one accessible ladies toilet in the building, it would be useful if this was available during events.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the Town Hall, it's a great venue.

User

Very well organised I have attended many events at the Town Hall. The only downside is the long queue for the ladies toilets but other than that a good venue.

User

Great venue and ideal for comedy. Only downside is lack of gents toilet facilities. Not sure what the capicity is - circa 1,000? So only having about 10 urinals and six cubicles is a bit of a queue and wait when you've probably got 200 blokes wanting to use the toilets all at the same time. Plus the hand driers were in some odd places and either in the middle of the queue or behind a door?

User

Attended rumours of fleetwood mac.

I booked 6 seats on the balcony. Couldn't see a thing!! Moved to a different box but quickly got ushered out. Ended up at the back on the balcony but ok seats .

The main thing was the music drowned out the singers, i think the town hall is too small for this kind of group we saw them at symphony hall and the sound was a million times better .

New years eve party was fab tho!!

User

Booked seats for shalimar at a nifty price only to be told when got up to dance as one would to go at the back of the room as to which we did with several

Others lots complaining as paid for our seats - thought the place was ok but would not rush back !

User

We booked the curry and pint option before the show and were sadly disappointed. The room itself was freezing cold and the food although tasty Luke warm. There was no atmosphere as they had not bothered with any background music and the staff seemed very disorganised. It seems such a shame as the town hall is a stunning location and the Stylistics were fab.

User

The afternoon cream tea in the cafe was the worst I think I've ever had anywhere. Also had to get through busy central hall to use toilet. Told by a very rude man we couldn't go through direct door. The girl that needed the loo has 2 broken ankles and was unable to walk!!

User

So you go to see a dance act (shalamar) expecting to be able to Dance, only to be told you need to Dance right at the back of the room.

Absolutely ridiculous, even the group thought this was weird, they wanted people to get up and dance but staff were making people go to the back.

If you book tickets to see dance acts then you expect people around you to get up and dance.

Cheltenham town hall it's 2018 not 1918, the whole evening was spoilt by this outdated ridiculous rule.

If you don't want people to Dance then don't book dance acts!

I'll think twice before booking here again.
