sunday lunch for 24 ...... wow what can i say, food served promptly and efficiently and as always superb . If you can't get your mam to cook your Sunday dinner ...... get yourselves to the chequers , you won't be disappointed ��

my husband and i had a lovely nite there on saturday 25th march. the food was absolutely out ov thos world and all staff were nice and friendly. our room was clean and comfortable. we will definately be returning. i would highly recomend the pub 2 friends and family.

What a loverly little find. Barman Richard went that extra mile, all the staff were friendly & the food was amazing, proper homemade brown chips, delicious homemade fishcakes & a crispy salad and to finish gorgeous eaton mess icecream. Very good priced .Will definitely recommend & return ♡

Thankyou so much to the amazing owner of the chequers! He saved a pair of clueless women with a grumpy 2 year old looking for a park.

Even though the pub was closed he kindly allowed us to use his gorgeous orchard/park/beer garden to meet a friend and even gave us a pot of tea free of charge �

The little man had a lovely time on the swings, climbing frame, tractors, giant deck chair, and pinching brambles from the bush �

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Spotlessly clean, friendly service and really good food. Proper portions too. Didn't eat again all day. Will Definately be back

Overnight stay last weekend (30/31st July 16) as a last minute getaway. Loved it from start to finish. Staff and owner very friendly and food was delicious! Wouldn't hesitate to come back again and also to recommend to friends. A little gem!

Looking forward to the Italian Nights with the new Chef Roberto. Loved the Lasagne, Parmo was very good, will try all the new Italian choices on the menu. Launch food was excellent and enjoyed by everyone sitting at our table. I know I can't have my favourite beers but the red wine is a good alternative.

Just left the Chequers Inn, can not thank staff enough! We slept really well and ate some really nice food. Sunday Lunch was fantastic. Thank you all for making us both feel really welcome x

It's been a while since I was last at the Chequers. The last time I was there the service was not very good and the food not much better. The previous owners tried to make it a town pub, forgetting that it is actually a country pub in a fab location. I took it off my list of places that I would go if I wanted a lovely meal. When informed that our family gathering was going to be there, I will be honest, I was a little disappointed. On arrival I noticed the pub was full and saw new faces behind the bar. The food and service was outstanding and the new owners have made it a lovely country pub again. Thank you for taking great care of us (we were the family of 10) and my grandson loved the minion toys you gave him! We will be back and I have put you back on my list for a great place to have a lovely meal. See you soon :).

Have just spent the night at the Chequers. Amazing service from beginning to end. Very well looked after and would definitely stay there again. Food was delicious too, even got talked into black pudding for my breakfast, which I will say I enjoyed. Staff and locals made you feel at home.

Have just come home from another visit to the Chequers. For just over a year it has been home from home for me and my family. We have been welcomed every time with kindness and compassion. Our rooms are comfortable and the food is just deliciously excellent. Richard, Aileen, Adam and Richard offer a warm and inviting stay. I would like to thank them from the bottom of my heart for making the last year bearable and for the wonderful day they gave us this last week. See you soon. With my love joolz carter.

Food is amazing :) my favourite place to eat. Never had a Sunday lunch in a pub as gorgeous as it is here!!!! All fresh and meat melts in your mouth absolutely beautiful!!!�

Can believe it's been a week since we were there. Brilliant place to stay, really friendly helpful staff, lovely rooms and the food gets better every year! Thanks to Richard and his girlfriend , has family etc. Look forward to it every year, thanks so much xx

Came down for the weekend what fantastic facilities and the bed gave me the best sleep in a long time. Great food and friendly staff. I'm definitely coming back and they are dog friendly.

Been here several times, the food is excellent- really tasty and we'll prepared. The beer is equally good and well kept.

All the staff from the boss downwards are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

If you haven't been, you should and if you have you know what I'm talking about.
