Cherished Description
'Unveiling the true potential and unique value of girls, through acceptance, care and love.
Cherished Provides packages for young girls in both primary and secondary schools exploring key issues relevant to their lives. The bespoke packages have been created to cover a range of topics including friendships, relationships, self esteem, family, values, hopes and dreams and identity. These packages are delivered over an 8 week period and are delivered in small group settings.
The course provides each girl with strategies and techniques for managing friendships and relationships, understanding their emotions as well as helping girls develop skills in empathy, listening and communication and developing their emotional literacy skills. Cherished also provides sessions which cater for many different learning styles with the sessions including drama, journaling, story telling, discussions, puppet work, crafts and much more!
Cherished allows young girls to feel safe about expressing their feelings with supporting ladies who are experiences and trained.

We asked our 7-9 aged Blossom girls in groups, if they had the power to change one thing in their school what would their new idea be?
One group decided that they wanted to stop bullying in their school completely! They then gave an amazing and powerful presentation to the rest of the Blossom group to let us know how they would make that change!
Our groups encourage girls to own and trust their own ideas and help them to have the courage and confidence to share them!

After a fantastic suggestion from one of our mentors we now have postcards for our girls to receive a personal message from their mentor before they meet to help ease some of their anxiety about meeting for their first session together!
