Crews continue to deal with the fire at the recycling plant in Ellesmere Port and are likely to still be doing so for a few more days yet. No need for alarm – this has been a complicated one but it's completely under control and there’s no risk to wider the public.

Thankyou to the fire safety officer who came to my flat today to give me safety advise & fit a new smoke alarm for me - great service and I really appreciate it.
Thank you to the team for their swift response to a car fire this evening, so professional and personable. #notallsuperheroswearcapes
Thank you to the hosts of the Biker Down course today. Thoroughly enjoyed it and it made me think of the whole situation of an RTC rather than just the biker down.
Thank you to the amazing staff this morning. Me and my husband spotted a fire in someone’s kitchen behind our house in Crewe.
They tackled it well & saved a dogs life!!
A big Thank you so much, talking on behalf of everyone in our street and the street of the poor couple affected.
Thank you to red watch penketh for your assistance today. Whilst not an emergency, we are a vulnerable family affected by flooding and no one else was available or willing to help. The professionalism, skilled help and friendliness of the team headed by CH Paul is so appreciated by all three of us. Plus they fitted a new smoke alarm while they were here.
Thank you to Widnes fire station. My son and his grandma went today with a Christmas card, cookies and chocolates and they showed him around and let him sit in the fire engine and gave him a hat! I have one very happy 3year old!
Thank you so much to the crewe fire and rescue team that attended tonight to rescue my cat from a huge tree. I know it wasn’t an emergency as such but you all did a fantastic job and got him home to me after he was stuck up there all day. It’s very much appreciated xx
Thank you so much to Warrington fire fighters, who helped my little 5 month old puppy that was stuck in the recliner, her skin and fur was trapped in a metal bar and she was really distressed but they got her out safely. Just to let them know she's fine just bruised and lost a few teeth! Wouldn't know what I would have done without you all thank you so much!!!!!!!!! ❤️!
Thank you so much for your quick, professional and brave actions tonight. Just so all of you know if it wasn't for our fire crew, me and my family could be dead now in our top floor flat due to an "accident" caused by our horrid neighbour. Okay, let's be honest, this was deliberate but we don't have proof. God bless you all on this NYE 2018 xx
Thank you Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service for a fabulous session delivered to 1st Halebank Beavers. They all had a great time. You are welcome back any time!
My four year old son visited Crewe fire station with his dad over the weekend and one of the firefighters kindly showed him around the fire engines and he had some pictures taken, made him the happiest little boy ever! He wants to be a fire fighter now when he grows up!😁 All fire fighters deserve all the credit in the world for the amazing job they do.
I would like to thank the guys that came out to my house yesterday after we set fire to our hedge. First time I have ever had to call 999 and the speed they got here was tremendous. Could have been so much worse if not for you all.
I would like to thank all the fire fighters at your Widnes station my son asked to take them some cake and when we got there we was welcomed in to the station and shows round thank you
Had a visit from a fireman this afternoon who fitted 2 new smoke alarms. The second outside our bedroom door is a great idea as I am partially deaf. Opened my eyes to things I'd never thought about - thank you so much for the great work you do
Had a super day today with the family, thank you so much for providing open days like these, they raise awareness and the little ones have so much fun
Fantastic help today from Ben wood, Station Watch Manager at Holmes Chapel Fire Station. I asked a favour and around Bens busy schedule he obliged by using the Thermal Imaging camera to help me locate the exact location of a Honey Bee Colony in a kitchen ceiling. It will be carefully extracted and re-homed into one of my Bee Hives. Thanks Ben.
Can not put into words how amazing the fire crew are. Should be on a footballers wage for what you do. Should be all very proud of yourselves.
Bike down course is fantastic and well worth it
Gives you that bit of knowledge if things do go wrong
