Can you help..?
Someone has asked us for some help reconnecting a couple with their camera... The camera was found during the Chester Mystery Plays on the 14 July 2018, and contains numerous videos.
One of the people may be a teacher, as one video appears to show children rehearsing for a play in what looks like a school hall.
... We're publishing two snapshots that were sent to us. If you recognise either of the people, or indeed are one of the people shown, do please message our Facebook Page, and we'll put you in touch.
[edit: photographs have now been removed, as those persons have been identified.]

Yesterday, dynamic artist David Mach RA arrived at the cathedral to commence the live-installation of his creation - Two Twisted.
Two classic sports cars were delivered into the cathedral yesterday, whilst today, David and the cathedral team hand-built two enormous shipping containers. Like a huge IKEA kit.
Here's a short timelapse video of some of today's work.
... Two Twisted opens on Friday 12 April and will remain in place until Monday 20 May. The installation is a part of our extraordinary year of special events - entitled waves.

What a lovely children's services on Sunday was great to see the cathedral Sunday school take such a prominent part in the services. Was great to see the friendship flower the children did on display in the cathedral entrance that afternoon for everyone to enjoy.

User

This is a beautiful Cathedral in lovely Chester. The Ark Sculpture Exhibition that is on their is fantastic. The stained glass windows are so nice. Some sort of service was on when we visited. Someone was playing the organ, which sounded amazing. Well worth a visit.

User

The cathedral is a wonderful building with some amazing architecture. The exhibition was great too apart from the display of the calf and cat but that's my personal preference. Overall a fantastic place to visit.

User

Stunning ancient architecture, beautiful art and very friendly staff. We visit every time we come to Chester and every time we find more to see.

User

One of the most amazing buildings in Chester and always a pleasure to walk around. Love the fact that it's free to enter (donations) and always plenty of events happening. Food is good too!

User

Never fails to amaze me, the ARK exhibition was a great addition. There was only one exhibit I didn't like but that was a very personal thing. The cafe was good value, we'll run and clean. It's a must see when in Chester.

User

It is great to have this place of worship open as a public space! They really embrace community and tge arts too

I visit regularly from Oswestry, Shropshire.

A wonderful Cathedral,

with such character and history.

I am a Business Woman

and have 100s of friends

across the world,

who avidly

“come with me!”

on my visits to your Cathedral,

and see my photos and videos

“Live” as I walk around!

The water Statues are immensely popular!

I visited yesterday (March 13th 2018) and was immensely moved by the hanging portraits of our Soldiers and the graphic scenes of World War 1.

One particular picture of a Soldier carrying his friend

took my breath way,

as it was so sad ,

and the expression on the

gentleman ‘s face will stay with me for a very long time.

Beautiful place with modern art. Make sure do the tour to the top of the Cathedral with Matt who has loads of fact and is a great story teller. You will see the inside of the cathedral from a gallery view and go to the bell tower and then on to the roof of the cathedral where you can see for miles. The tour last half an hour and is only £6 plus it keeps Matt fit and healthy.

User

Always visit the cathedral in whichever city I'm in. This year it was Chester and it certainly proved to be one of the best. Combined with a Christmas shopping trip with my daughter it was a highlight. Loved the " Old court" brilliant stories. Lovely idea to build the cathedral in Lego bricks, it gives you a real sense of the building. Will definitely visit again.

User

A lovely Cathedral. Unfortunately it was too cold to do the upper tour, however I was so pleased to arrive in time to listen to an Organ Recital by Oliver Hancock from Portsmouth which was wonderful and well worth the admittance money.

User

A fabulous cathedral with an interesting art exhibition called the Ark exhibition going on at the moment but I especially loved the £1 for a lego brick. A great fundraising idea and well worth the donation

User

I went on the Cathedral height tour and absolutely loved it. It's well worth the £6 for 30 minutes. You get to see the bell and those steps to the top was great fun. You see our beautiful city from a height and that's something you don't see often.

Well worth a go and you get a free drink of tea or coffee if you buy a cake...

User

I really enjoyed Chester we arrived on the train which is a short walk from the hub of activities, I went to Grosvenor Park with my family and friend for the miniature railway and children's playground. We then headed to Chester Boat and had a lovely trip along the river, after lunch at Las Iguanas we headed to the shops and Cathedral. We then went to the nearby Roman Amphitheatre which underwhelmed somewhat, with time against us we skipped the Castle and proceeded to the Roman Gardens which filtered back down to the river. We all had an ice cream whilst enjoying the stunning views from bridge.
