Chester Mountaineering Club

Welcome to the Chester Mountaineering Club Website. We are a long established large multi activity mountaineering club of 60 years with 230 + members. We have one hut in North Wales and access to both the 'Fylde Club' and 'Lancashire Caving & Climbing

We are a friendly group of climbers and mountaineers who just like getting out when we can.
The club owns a cottage in Llanberis where members can stay anytime. We organise regular walking, climbing and mountaineering meets. You are welcome to join us. We do not instruct but offer friendly advice and are happy for people to join in.
You can come along and meet us at a local climbing wall or at a meet.
After a couple of visits, or of you attend a new members meet, you be required to join as an associate for £30 this includes BMC membership of £20. The BMC provide numerous benefits. (see thebmc.org). After 6 months you will be able to apply for full membership.
The cottage has dormitory style accommodation (you will need a sleeping bag), lounge , dining room, fully equipped kitchen, bathrooms, shower and drying room. Outside is ample parking.
