Chester Zoo

Great day out for kids of all ages. Amazing place. Lots to see and do. One of the best zoos in the world. Surely best in UK. Take all day and take you time around. Few places to eat but also plenty of picnic spots and benches if you want to bring your own culinary delights. Variety of activities for kids and adults including animal talks and playgrounds. Must visit at least one time

One of the best zoos I've ever visited. It's really big so you need to plan your visit to see everything in one day, but recommended to spread it over a couple of visits. Expansive enclosures and really knowledgeable, caring keepers. OK food in the cafes and restaurants, if a bit pricey (but at least this goes towards the animals upkeep). Bring a packed lunch and donate!

This was my first visit to Chester Zoo in several years. The park was very clean, and quiet given it was a weekday in the school term. There are plenty of places to eat and get refreshments and the attractions are brilliant, especially the newer ones. One of the newer sections of the zoo, called Islands is absolutely brilliant, the animal enclosures are large and well designed, and the pathways are surrounded with lovely plants. The whole section is huge! And there is a free boat ride which is very relaxing. Highly recommend the zoo, we had a great day out.

My experience at Chester Zoo is one that can't be measured in simple terms. My best possible description best day ever. From the warm and inviting staff, the vast range of wildlife present in spacious and luxurious enclosure, the the inventive and convenient monorail, everything about the zoo is immaculate. Prior to going to the zoo, I had heard that it was the third best zoo in the world, and on my trip down from London I was skeptical of this fact. However now, I can't believe it's not number one. No matter the unpredictable weather, Chester Zoo will never disappoint, whatever the occasion. Would highly recommend.

What can you say about Chester zoo? Best in the UK. 3rd best in the world. I have no doubts about those awards. Always a great day. Food has improved over the last few years and now the choice and quality is what is deserved of such a great attraction. Only complaint is the monorail is not free. Would recommend this attraction to any one any age. 1st class.

One of the best zoos I've visited. The design of the cages and enclosures seem nice and roomy. The whole design of the zoo just brilliant ideal for children and adults. The food courts in the zoo very reasonable priced. Just cannot find a vault with anything, staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this

Amazing place and renowned for conservation work. Almost impossible to see everything in a day. Cafes and snack stations throughout site. Monorail. Wheelchair and buggy hire available with virtually the whole site being accessible. Special tours can be arranged in advance.

Zoos are not everybody's cup of tea but here is one that really does try give the animals as much space as possible. The animals always seem happy, none seem stir crazy or miserable. The facilities are top notch, great food and drink. Toilets dotted around the place. Gets e friendly busy to the point you can't see things at times, like the elephants but there are quiet places too. Green lawns for picnics dotted about. Always clean. The food and gifts are not too expensive and is mostly good stuff. Kids love it. It is a big big zoo.

Best zoo I've ever visited. Large site with huge variety of animals and enclosures. Spent all day there with my 7 yr old daughter and my parents. The animals seemed active and happy, staff and volunteers all helpful. Would recommend to anyone who loves animals. Giraffes for me was the highlight of our visit.
