Chester's Carriages offer horse carriage driving experiences, lessons and can break your horse to harness.

Chester, our gentle cob, will provide you with an enjoyable drive through quiet country lanes in rural Essex. We are able to offer driving lessons to beginners or to the more experienced driver who wishes to enjoy driving without the hassle of horse ownership.

Conveniently located in open countryside near Brentwood in Essex, only 10 minutes from Brentwood and the A12 /M25 /M11 Chester's Carriages are perfectly situated for your carriage driving experience.

Currently we are only able to take one passenger per trip.

Prices from:

£25 for 1 hour / £40 for 2 hours driving experience - come along as a passenger and enjoy your carriage driving experience. The horse will be ready when you arrive.

£35 for 1. 5 hours / £45 for 2 hours driving lesson - Learn how to harness the horse and 'put to' before heading out for a drive and taking the reins for yourself.

Prices for breaking horses to harness on application, dependent upon level of work required.
