Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa

Attended a wedding here. staff were friendly and the wood was wonderful. Drink prices weren't too bad. Good venue.

Lovely hotel. Very spacious rooms and cosy. Shower cubicle needs to be bigger. Fab hotel grounds so pretty. We paid £89 For both Inc spa and buffet continental and Served got breakfast. Good value but we booked day before and got price direct with hotel. Will come again and highly recommended. We came for one night to celebrate my partner's 50th birthday.

Attended a wedding at this venue and stayed the night. Food in the evening was good, but breakfast in the morning was a bit lacking. Our budget double room was nicely decorated and comfortable but very small

Location was lovely apart from you can hear aeroplanes early in the morning. The breakfast was a little underwhelming, I was quite disappointed by it. The hotel has a very dark feel in general, it's not well lit. The room was decorated nicely but very small.

I have stayed here many many times. We have always enjoyed our stay here. Yesterday my daughter got married here and on arrival the stern face receptionist was abrupt to say the least not a good start. Then the groom was stuck in traffic and the receptionist again very unhelpful wanted to put my daughter in her beautiful gown in a pokey office full of rubbish I was appalled with her lack of caring. Thankfully Marina stepped in because that receptionist didn't give a damn. Thank you receptionist for blacking the start of my daughter's wedding day. Anyway we had a good day thank you marina for your hard work your a little star.

Apologies for this review as being a small business owner I understand that people only leave a bad review never a good one... But I have never had a meal or service like this! We ordered food in a split bill for the table. I understand there might have been a small delay in paying seperatly but the two parties were talking at the bar when we ordered - it was pretty obvious we were together and the staff acknowledged us being together after seeing us all chatting outside. Half of the food turned up (cold) but the FIRST order didn't turn up until the second order had finished. The food was cold and it didn't ALL turn up. After all this it was poor quality and tasteless. I ordered a vegetarian burger that had what tasted like smash in the middle. We complained at the bar and got a part refund after a back and forth conversation trying make the manager realise the poor quality of service and food. Which he did acknowledge after saying it was busy (Monday at 6)...The final straw was as we were leaving we were asked if we were finished, I replied with 'if 2 bites are finished yes'... Then the waitress went off on one saying that I have had my say at the bar and there was no need to start on her! Sorry but don't bother with this one!!!!

Wedding attended was lovely and the grounds the hotel is in are beautiful. However the beer bought by guests was flat. Some of the rooms others were staying in were dirty and generally badly maintained. Not what was expected from a hotel with its reputation.

This is the second wedding I have attended at chevin and it is a beautiful place. I've stayed in a lodge and a family room both were outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful and most importantly knew how to have a laugh with the guests. The price of the beer, £4.90 a pint and the breakfast, not all you can eat, we're the only down side. That being said I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Beautiful location. Very peaceful. Facilities (sauna, steam room and jacuzzi) are very good although the steam room was a bit small. The massage was ok it could have been a bit harder.

Lovely place. Absolutely loved the hot tub outside in the sunshine. And the treatments received done by Katie were amazing. Definitely will return!

Loved our recent stay at Chevin spa. The lodge family room was fab. Loads of room for our two year old son to get about. All the staff we encounter where all so friendly and helpful, from the check inn deck where we asked if it was possible to move rooms closer to the restaurant staff seating us where the little one would be happiest. Really would recommend highly.

Great value "budget" room w/ breakfast. Spa facilities basic but very good for the price. Would definitely return again !

I'm disabled and they couldn't do enough for me. Facilities were out of this world! Bargain price too! Fantastic setting defo recommend!

We popped in for a coffee on a cold day and had a very enjoyable visit to the bar. The staff were very helpful and provided a gluten free brownie for one of us who wanted it. The dinners looked delicious.
