This year, Chapterhouse Theatre Company is proud to present the wild and tempestuous love story of Emily Brontë’s Wuthering Heights, set on the beautiful and mysterious Yorkshire moors. This tale of passion and revenge has thrilled readers and audiences alike for generations and now, in an adaptation by award-winning writer Laura Turner, is set to entrance Chapterhouse audiences for an evening of theatre beneath the stars. Can Catherine and Heathcliff’s love endure, or will the forces of nature tear them apart?

stunning location for my brother and sister-in-law's wedding reception. The food was amazing, the staff absolutely brilliant, very helpful and we were always greeted with smiles. The room myself and my 2 little granddaughters occupied for the night was absolutely lush, huge bed, very comfortable and bathroom big enough for another bed lol.On the Sunday the wedding party had a picnic in the grounds and we kept the staff very busy, they all deserve a big thumbs up for their professionalism and for the attentiveness we were shown. The hall and grounds are fabulous. Many thanks to all the staff for our fabulous stay. xx

Where do I even begin?

I got married here on the 3rd of June 2017 and it was honestly the best day of my life.

Siobhan our wedding coordinator was brilliant and patient with us - obviously being the first time either of us had ever planned a wedding it was overwhelming how much we hadn't thought about.

Siobhan was great and gave us little check lists, so it was easy to keep track of what we needed to do.

On to our actual wedding Day, Dudley and Charles looked after everything and were absolutely amazing. They are an absolute credit to your company.

Nothing was too much for either of them, and when I did needed them... they were always on hand!

Also a massive thank you to the night manager who was working that night that made us a sandwich as we had no time to eat any of our wedding buffet! He was a wonderful man!

I just cannot thank the team at Chicheley enough for what a fantastic job they did for us.

What a stunning wedding venue, fell in love with Chicheley as soon as we visited it as a possible wedding venue, so we held our wedding here on October 28th 2017. We had a perfect day, staff were fantastic special mention to Siobhan, Dudley and Debbie, nothing was too much trouble for them. Wedding breakfast, evening buffet and breakfast were exceptional, all our guest commented on how good the food was. Hotel rooms were immaculate. A day we will never forget, thank you to all staff you made it wonderful!!

User

We held our wedding here and it was perfect! The venue is absolutely stunning and the team are fantastic!

The team in charge on the day made sure that everything ran smoothly and ensured that we didn't have to worry about a thing.

Lots of guests have commented on how great the food was and how stunning the views were!

The rooms in the main house in particular are lovely - the quirky designs really wow!

If you are thinking of holding your wedding here I would definitely recommend!

Was there for my dads wedding and stayed for the weekend with quite a few family members and friends. What a fantastic experience it was. We was all made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Every member of staff was poilte and curtious, and nothing at all was to much for them. Charles, Ryan, Dudly are all a huge assett to Chichley Hall.

They made my dads wedding day magical and a wonderful experience. Himself and his new wife had the most amazing perfect day. Every detail was perfect and on point.

Will definately be reccomending Chichley Hall whenever I can.

Big thank you to each and every member of staff there :-) xx

This listed building is absolutely stunning. We came here for the night with ghost hunting uk . The rooms we were in were basic but the scenery, food, staff were all fantastic!

If i was to renew my wedding vows id have to have this as my venue!

The highlight was the peacock out side our window in the morning. Who knew they like ginger nut biscuits

User

Beautiful views, stunning listed building with all the interior to go with it. One nights stay with dinner and breakfast. Dinner was well presented with a fair bit to choose from, great wine menu too. Staff were efficient and knowledgable, would happily return if we are ever this way again. Thank you Team for a pleasant stay. 5* JS

Beautiful Hotel stunning grade II listed building staff so helpful and friendly was offered upgrade but we like our original room best 80 acres of lovely grounds lakes with Peacocks & Swans roaming free

Lovely afternoon tea on the lawn and evening meal was excellent would definitely go back

User

Absolutely fantastic evening, couldn’t fault it. Friendly staff, fantastic service, wonderful setting. The only way it could have been better would be if the Christmas Party had been in the day because then we could have taken the time and explored the grounds. However, the party room was wonderful, the festive layout on the tables was brilliant and catered for all tastes and the setting itself made it feel like a really exceptional evening.

User

A beautiful hotel, all staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable with a view ovet the garden. We had dinner at the hotel and the meal was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent.

User

Stunning location and beautiful building. The receptionist was very welcoming on arrival and took care of us.

The room itself was a little disappointing as very small and extremely warm when we arrived. We got there quite late and it had been an extremely hot coupe of days so perhaps leaving the window open in the morning would have been an option. There were 2 Fan towers provided, however, which were very appreciated!! Huge shower but toilet very squished against towel rail.

Tiny tv and had to hunt for the kettle which was hidden away in the cupboard.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and had a very good night sleep.

Breakfast was very tasty, however, when we arrived down for breakfast at 930 we were not greeted by anyone and completely ignored by the first waiter who walked past so we're unsure if we could just sit where we liked. In the end I asked someone and he just mumbled an answer and walked off.

We were also made to feel like we should finish breakfast at exactly 10am as everyone was clearing and resetting them around us - 10am finish on a Sunday is not very late and the reason we came away was to escape the usual rush of everyday life!

Overall a nice stay but some small improvements would have made a difference.

User

Lovely setting but arrived with a wedding going on so not allowed to use a lot of public areas. Bar was tiny and barman quite rude, so struggled to find anywhere to sit & relax with our drinks. (Which we’re very over priced!)

All young waiting staff were excellent & made us feel very welcome.

Food excellent, great quality and very well presented.

Room was adequate although the block itself(south wing) looked like it could do with some updating. Only problem with room was the very low slanting ceiling that I kept hitting my head on!!

Bed was comfortable but rowdy wedding guests (fighting) & workers dismantling the venues equipment kept us awake most of night.

I would return but only if no wedding was going on!! (Think maybe they should not have extra guests on these days)

Also noticed there were honey bees on the estate & they sold jars of their honey in reception, however this was not available at breakfast for us to try so think they are missing out on sales there!

User

Great venue to hold fashion show Mk 2017!😁

Enjoyed my time on the runway showcasing various clothing lines, Overall a good night with good people. Only thing I would say what may need to improve is the parking.. I had to park down in the overflow car park furthest away from the venue itself as there’s not much space in the normal car park.

User

beautiful setting for a wedding with gorgeous gardens couldn't fault the wedding arrangements and we had a fantastic day, all staff were very helpful, but trying to get a drink late on proved slightly difficult, but eventually we were served, and got the drinks on the house as there had been some misunderstanding so all good there. Our room however in the South wing was not big enough for a double bed, we had to get ready for the wedding separately as not enough room, far too hot in the room, window only opened a fraction, a fan was provided on request, bed very comfy ! bathroom again tiny and the shower only managed a trickle. The entrance to the south wing is very tatty and definitely needs attention. All in all if I stayed again I would want to stay in the main house not good value for money in the wing.

User

It may be nice for your wedding but not if you are a guest while a wedding is on. We were kept awake till midnight by the music despite not being in the main building. The small bar was full of wedding guests so we ended up taking the drinks up to our room. Strange room layout with only one bedside table, a short kettle lead which meant precariously balancing the kettle on the edge of the desk. For the money I expected more. It is a beautiful building in stunning grounds but maybe better suited a a purely wedding venue.

User

Well the grounds are beautiful. We stayed one night and over a 3 week period of travelling using B&B's and ABnB's this was the worst bed I have ever tried to sleep in. The springs were nearly poking through the cover. There was a wardrobe right against the bed so I hit my head on it when moving in the bed trying to get comfortable. In the afternoon we ordered coffee for 2 and tea for 2 and we received 1 pot of each. The pots only held enough for 2 cups of each, was cold and cost £10. What a rip off. Also the tables weren't being cleared and cleaned when people left in the garden. Who wants to look at untidy tables in such a beautiful setting.

User

The Hall itself is fabulous.A wealth of history and used as a film/TV location.I went there for afternoon tea with friends,to celebrate my birthday. We pre booked gluten free for me. The tea itself was akin to what you may find in a standard department store.I was given 2 tasteless and inedible bread rolls and a solid scone.I asked for the scone to be heated, and left the rolls. It took several requests to get cream and jam for my scone. Two other cakes were provided and standard tea bag tea served in chunky cups.My recommendations? Go and get a cup of tea in the café,then enjoy the grounds. If you have food allergies, please don't bother with afternoon tea.

User

It’s was a lovely surprise for my birthday, to have Afternoon Tea with all my (adult) kids, and eldest Grandson who was filling in for my husband, who’s poorly in hospital. Unfortunately, the scones were not fresh, the coffee was stewed. My water glass had a milk ring around it, and one of my daughters champagne flutes had 2 lots of lipstick marks on!!! And the service was very, very slow, especially where tea & coffee refills, waters and the champagne (this had been poured and left outside the room, unattended & loosing its fizz for quite sometime) was concerned. Such a shame.

User

Hmmm, so booked in here for a quiet night away with friends after their wedding....oh what a mistake to make. Firstly the room, not quite on a par with an Ibis....bathroom tiling is cracked, unable to hang a dress in the wardrobe, a bare desolate environment, no unique decorative touches, threadbare carpet on the stairs - in the south wing. Secondly, a wedding going on - ok, but the noise was unbearable, the bar was brightly lit and resembled the cafeteria at the local coach station - with all the ambience that implies. Thirdly, if there is such a word, a window was open in the bar, most of the wedding party were smoking cigars directly outside - cigar smoke wafted into the bar! So, I await tomorrow morning and breakfast. I shall be speaking to the hotel direct....most unhappy and I wish I had chosen the Swan Revived!
