It all started with a small magazine cross stitch kit at the age of 10. From then on-wards I was hooked with crafting and to this day some 20 years on I still love to learn new crafts and am always experimenting with new techniques.

After many years doing various administrative jobs, having my two girls and struggling with that work /family balance I decided to concentrate all my efforts into my passion.

If you haven't guessed from my products I love Christmas and traditions that are passed between the generations.

Chickitty Bridge was founded on a simple request from a friend to produce a Santa's Magic Key for her son who was having issues with the idea of Santa coming down the chimney and getting in his house. The key was a massive hit and after sharing the finished product with friends, requests started coming in and it was apparent that there was a gap in the market for my designs.

The hardest part was coming up with the name Chickitty Bridge. It is often a talking point at craft fayres and routinely asked through my networking. The Chickitty part was the amalgamation of the two nicknames I call my girls, Chick and KitKat. The Bridge part is derived from part of the name associated with my home.
