Child Sparks

Sparks is a parental group that helps families having children with Neuro Developmental Disorders. We parents are united in our mission to achieve resilience. We work with other parents, friends and professionals in our community to enable our children with Neuro Developmental Disorders to achieve their potentials, live full, active, independent lives, promoting self-care and building resilience. We do this by running: • Fortnightly parent training and workshops conducted by Consultant Paediatrician, Psychiatrist and Speech /Occupational Therapist. • Fortnightly leaders training and workshops• Children's activity group to promote play, fun and social interaction. • Telephone support provided by parents to each other and by the Consultant Paediatrician• Assessment of children by the Consultant Paediatrician when possible and when needed to offer second opinion• Campaigns to increase public understanding to help improve the lives of autistic people.
