About Children & Young People'S Partnership Somerset (Chypps)

Children & Young People's Partnership Somerset (CHYPPS) is a registered charity, established in 1995 for local organisations working children, young people and families. It aims to ensure that organisations across Somerset receive the appropriate information, support and representation to meet the needs and aspirations of children and young people to gain the skills and confidence to be active citizens in their communities. InformationCHYPPS publishes a range of news, policy and information a network of registered voluntary organisations across Somerset including via our Information and Advice service including funding, events and training opportunities, plus all the latest news via a number of channels including our website, weekly e-newsletter and social media platforms. SupportWe offer a range of specialist services, products and activities including organisational planning, training and development, funding advice to enable voluntary and community groups to improve, or establish high quality work with young people. CHYPPS also takes an active interest in the delivery of local social action, early intervention projects and intergenerational work. RepresentationCHYPPS facilitates the local VCS Forum, which has been set up in collaboration with Somerset County Council to provide a network for voluntary and community groups to access transparent commissioning and tendering information, facilitate collaboration and share knowledge and best practice.
