Second time I have been here but still interesting and loads more to see and discover. So worth a visit.
Great place to visit well worth the entrance fee staff v v helpful and friendly
Lovely and we'll kept castle. The cafe is a little expensive but the atmosphere is worth it. Plenty to see and do. I'd recommend the walks around the lakes as well as the garden.
Stayed at the old coach house with 5 other friends, had a great time ,very atmospheric, and guide was, very entertaining, never got too see the famous cattle as it was too early in the year, set in lovely grounds and nice and peaceful, well worth a visit.
Wow wow wow what an amazing place to visit. So much to see in every room. Stunningly beautiful walled garden. Coffee shop small but high quality products available, even though it was busy the service was fast and efficient. The dungeon was so interesting and depicted the subject well. Well worth a visit
Eclectic mix of everything you could possible imagine in a wonderful, lived-in setting
Knowledgeable and informative guides, lovely gardens when in bloom, nice walk down to lakes.
We were lucky enough to spend three nights here for a special birthday treat. It was magnificent, set in remote countryside, but within reach of other places of interest. And no, (un)fortunately we didn't experience anything unusual.......
Great day out exploring the castle and grounds lots of interesting things to see. The torture chamber in not a place to go for the feint hearted. No spooky goongs on when we were there. Not a place to take babys in pushchairs as there is a lot of uneven places and lots of winding staircases.
