This beautiful cat is called Wembley. She was found hungry and pregnant and rescued at Wembley Stadium station by a Chiltern Railways staff member. She went on to have kittens, all of which have all been rehomed by Chiltern Railways staff.😺 #internationalcatday

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the member of Chiltern Railways staff who just organised for the 1928 from Bicester North to make an additional stop at High Wycombe as a number of us had just missed a connection due to a delay to a previous train. Great customer service!

User

I just want to a say a big thank you to you guys. Most railway services cancelled their trains even at the smallest snowfall yet you guys managed even until now where there is heavy snow...to keep going. So literally a big thank you to everyone involved who is working hard to ensure people are getting to where they need to be, safely without any major disruption. It's very rare for me to give companys such feedback but at a time like this...it's well due. So a big thank you

User

I have had 2 fantastic trips on the Bicester Village to Oxford train. This route was both of my children's very first train ride and on both occasions when we were leaving the platform walking past the front and the children waived / said thank you driver we were invited for the children to have a seat and look in where the driver sits. Such a wonderful experience for them. Thank you for making their first train journeys a memorable one.

User

Generally good trains but we why is it so difficult to have working ticket machines. Bicester village station only has 3 and one is always broken. It's a busy station and people use then to pay for parking get more machines! The single biggest benefit of getting season tickets is just to avoid the massive queues so maybe it's intentional?

“Adverse weather conditions”. Come on Chiltern !

It’s been in the news for days .

Why did I have to stand up from Banbury to Marylebone and Marylebone to Banbury both ways today .

Add to that fact you were late again and I’m not impressed . If I ran my business and 80% of my clients were not happy I’d have no business .

Just because your a public subsidised franchise ,,,, at least make an effort !

Have some pride in what you do ,

You will find life a lot more rewarding .

User

I usually rave about Chiltern rail Warwick parkway to Marleybone but they’ve installed new ticket machines that don’t offer off peak prices when necessary. The old machines would switch at 8:45 am after the last peak train leaving time for people catching the 9:02 to use them. Today everyone was in a single que anxious as to whether they’d get their tickets in time. The ticket person said nothing was going to be done about the problem.

User

I travel to London 2/3 times a month & usually I do not have any complaints but last night, Saturday, 16th June 2018, I was definitely unimpressed by the chaos caused by the non display of platform number on the huge display board @ Marylebone to Birmingham Snow Hill on the 2207 hrs.

As a result many of us entered the barrier @ 2157 as we head for Platform A! There were over 80 passengers trying to see where the platform number is.

It is not acceptable that only @ 2202 that a number appeared & the fitter of majority of us were able to rush off to board the train @ the newly displayed appointed platform was over by the opposite platform.

For a very long time now, I have always wondered why the platform numbers are never displayed often till almost 5 minutes to the departure time. Also the platform selected usually is Platform A, furthest away.

Trains to other destination always have platforms displayed a lot earlier!

If I have to spent a night in London because of the chaos caused by your company, I will not be very happy!

I have now checked & screenshot your special time table due to the None of the next train go to the changes caused by Ed Sheeran’s Concerts, I will not be able to return to Warwick Parkway as the ‘new’ 2207 was my last train!

I hope a clear explanation can be given to me because I have generally been a very satisfied customer - written to you on another occasion regarding overcrowding during half term holiday.

User

I rely on this train every morning to get to work on time at 7am, this morning the service was incredibly unreliable!! I turned up to the station and it’s cancelled, strained, takes me 25 minutes to walk back to my house to get my car. Next train isn’t until 7:10 (and it’s delayed) instead of waiting in the freezing platform I waited in the lobby, suddenly at 6:30 something the customer service person stood up and told us to RUN, to the other side of the platform because THAT train is going to Oxford! Without any details of what time the train departs, I RAN.. Up the stairs, through the bridge and half way down the stairs the train took off, without us! I immediately ran back to the guy behind the desk to question him, his answer was “I wasn’t told about this train, sorry”.... Right. I wasn’t either.

I can not believe this!

What is happening!? Does he not have any method to communicate between the drivers, to tell him to wait an extra 30 seconds?? Why a reliable company suddenly turned into a unreliable, miscommunicated company that treats people like this!? It’s 7am, I was not prepared to go through such an emotional rollercoaster caused by the train company.

No compensation offered, and I will be 30 minutes late to work. I have lost faith in your company.

User

Why, oh why have you changed the Chiltern Railways app? The other version wasn't broken, so why try and fix it? This new version which I had to download last night does not show the information for a train which has just left London Marylebone. So therefore when my husband rang me to say he was on the xyz train, I couldn't view that trains details, because the train had left Marylebone. It automatically jumps to the next train which is due to leave. Therefore I had no idea when the train was due to arrive at Beaconsfield! This app is extremely frustrating and frankly provides useless information! Also I have to input the two stations every time, it doesn't remember them! Why did you have to change the format? The other app was brilliant! This new version is rubbish!

User

Why do I pay so much to have to stand in a sweat box with no air conditioning on a boiling day? Seriously, if it’s 28 degrees outside and the air con is not turned on on an overcrowded train you place us in real danger.

User

Utter disgrace. Went to London on the 29 May and the 10.16 train came 10 minutes late with 2 carriages only. Literally half of the people could not board the train at Gerrards Cross. Poor driver tried to apologise but there was an outburst of laugh amongst the passengers when the driver said" We are working hard to improve our record" The most humiliating moment I have ever seen against a company. Nationalise the company NOW!

User

Travelled back on the 17:53 from Marylebone to Aylesbury via High Wycombe.

For the majority of the journey and until Princes Risborough our carriage was in total darkness which was quite scary especially for my 10 year old son !

This was only rectified at Risborough when the driver got out after being told by another member of the public.

Not the best journey home hurtling along at 60+ mph in total darkness !

Your technicians seemed to be at Aylesbury when we arrived and will confirm the issue

User

There are always delays and disruption on the service. Boards give you one destination and stops inside the train you see something different. I regularly panic if I am on the right train. I am being late on regular basis which will affect my job and personal life.

I will do my best not to travel with Chiltern!

I feel for the people who have no other choice.

User

The new ticket machines installed at Warwick Parkway are shockingly unreliable and require you to type personal data onto a large screen that is visible to all those stood in the queue behind you, surname, railcard reference number, car registration etc.... at Warwick Parkway this morning only one out of the three was working and only one window was manned..... service has really deteriorated...a shame we have no choice

User

Overcrowded trains. Commuters spending £5.5k a year to get into London rammed in carriages. It’s shocking. Currently a carriage down on the 7.35 from Bicester Village too, which even when operating at full capacity cannot cope with the demand. Time to switch to GWR. If you are thinking between the two, categorically go for GWR rather than Chiltern. Chiltern simply cannot cope with capacity, the line has become a victim of its own success, but don’t seem prepared to adapt accordingly. It’s a bun fight, at the very best of times and certainly no way to start your day! Don’t even get me started on the cost for this journey. If you pay daily it’s in excess of £60 for a return ticket. There is no value, enjoyment or comfort on this service, unless you are fortunate enough to travel off peak in the hope you may actually get a seat. I was on the first train on the day the new line opened and how exciting it was to have this new service. It has imploded on itself and Chiltern hasn’t managed to keep up, however I am sure they are enjoying the revenue and the profitability that overcrowding brings.

User

I use your trains probably 2 to 3 times per week from Bicester Village to London and gosh I wish I didn’t have to.

You charge me 66 pounds for the pleasure of often standing to London if I get the early trains.

You really haven’t planned your capacity very well have you.

If I travel after 9am when I can whisk is not often at all great I get a seat.

You really need a shake up around now you serve your customers who like me probably choose to drive rather than face your dirty smelly over crowded carriages.

I bet if you had to use these services for a few weeks like the 640 from Bicester Village you would soon sort this mess out.

I dare you try the early over crowded trains and ask yourself if you sorted the mess out how many more tickets might you sell and does the business case stack up to invest a little money and effort.

Just from a customer retention perspective and brand image perspective I am sure it would but think happy customers means more customers means quicker ROI.

I so hope ChilternRail see this but I doubt they do.

User

Every journey is the same. I get the 06:17 from Bicester Village to Marylebone and it’s always over crowded.

Never is there a time when doing the reverse journey when the trains are empty. Commuters are packed in like battery hens. And even when it’s 25+ degrees outside they can’t afford to put the air con on. Terrible terrible company.

Such a shame that with all the money they have they cannot provide a better and more comfortable service in and out of London in all weather conditions.

Sure £66 guarantees you the journey but not a seat. Maybe Chiltern if you listened to these commuters, spent some of the billions of pounds you make, you could add a few more carriages on these peak services and occasionally put the AC on.

I guess when you have the monopoly like Chiltern you can do what you like.

Disgraceful

User

Cancelled the 7:23 service from Princes Risborough to Aylesbury with no prior warning. The "replacement bus" apparently left the station over 15 minutes before the train was supposed to depart although I have a suspicion it didn't actually exist.

Hopefully the replacement bus gets here in time for the next train at 8:23, which has also been cancelled.

User

Booked ticket online last night for travel at 3pm today. Called in to station this morning to collect tickets at machine. My e mail does not give me a collection reference so I could not collect my tickets. Spoke to someone at the ticket desk who could not help me. Told to phone Chiltern. No reply. E mailed Chiltern and told e mail address is an unmonitored e mail address. How on earth do I get my tickets for travel in just over an hours time?

Why do I pay so much to have to stand in a sweat box with no air conditioning on a boiling day? Seriously, if it’s 28 degrees outside and the air con is not turned on on an overcrowded train you place us in real danger.

There are always delays and disruption on the service. Boards give you one destination and stops inside the train you see something different. I regularly panic if I am on the right train. I am being late on regular basis which will affect my job and personal life.

I will do my best not to travel with Chiltern!

I feel for the people who have no other choice.

Disgraceful

Cancelled the 7:23 service from Princes Risborough to Aylesbury with no prior warning. The "replacement bus" apparently left the station over 15 minutes before the train was supposed to depart although I have a suspicion it didn't actually exist.

Hopefully the replacement bus gets here in time for the next train at 8:23, which has also been cancelled.
