WHAT IS CHINA INSIGHT FOUNDATION? We believe that you are reading this because you are aware of the impact of China upon all our lives, and of the necessity for 21st Century Britain to continue working relationships with China. China's resurgence has accelerated during the COVID pandemic and Western opinions of China have become more hostile. Outspoken criticism reinforces those in China who see the West as an enemy and polarises us yet further. This is against Britain's national interest; more, it is against the interests of humanity. Just as we will work with the EU and the USA so we must figure out how to work with China to keep the peace and to collaborate over existential challenges from climate change to NBC weapons proliferation, technology governance to disease. 21st Century Britain must not be distracted from these long-term needs by frustrations which may be temporary. We must think for future generations.
