Chip Tech Tuning

A few recent jobs we have done including fixing the tune on a 2.0 Cr170 VAG engine along with removing its DPF and blanking the EGR attached is his review. Came in at 204hp left on our stage 1 at 220hp 🙂
Also to put a lot of customers DPF removal worries at rest, this is the DPF from said Cr170 after we removed, cut open, gutted and welded it back together. As you can see from the pictures our engineer takes great time and care ensuring the DPF looks untouched. This is where... the vast majority of our competitors fail and leave customers red faced when it comes to MOT visual inspections.
The next way we are ahead of our competition is we have invested in a MOT style diesel emission smoke tester so we can ensure the vehicle has no issues come MOT time. We can provide before and after print outs of the emissions for peace of mind.
Once again we are not only leading the way but openly showing how.

Another German day at CTT HQ!
🇩🇪Beautiful BMW 435d Xdrive in for industry leading stage 1 software. Speed limiter remove and performance gauges rescaled.
🇩🇪VW Golf Gti Mk5 in for our stage 2 software, we also decided to add a couple of cheeky pops and bangs to this 💥 video to follow.
... 🇩🇪 Seat Leon FR in for our full DPF EGR delete and stage 1 software. These pull like trains for a modest 2.0 Pd engine
🇩🇪 BMW 123d in for a follow up appointment after our stage 2 Tuning on it before the weekend and map correction, today it had swirl flap and EGR delete along with a hardcut limiter adding.
Oh and we almost forgot ! The picture of the DPF off the Leon is after we had cut, gutted and welded it back together. As always we go the extra mile to make our work invisible ✅

Took my mark 7 golf gtd for dpf and stage 1 got me in next day after messaging them, talked me through the options and even offered more options for me to consider, couldn't have asked for more and now love the talk, power of the golf and wouldn't recommend anywhere else

Took my Vxr to chiptech initially for a dyno run to realise it was overfuelling like anything, so decided on a stage 2 map. The car disconnected when the map was being put on and it kept the car off the road for a couple of days,, but a courtesy car was supplied and had the car back by Wednesday night, running a stage 2 with a map! Excellent customer service and a much smoother map, has improved the car immensely! I will be bringing other vehicles for mapping in the near future! Top work and customer satisfaction is at the top of their priorities!

Took my Vauxhall Astra vxr into Shane to get fixed and for the stage 1 map to find out it had so many problems wrong with it from the previous owner bodging things with super glue shane and his team went beyond the limits on fixing every single problem 1 by 1 the cars now running absolutely fantastic running like a brand new car I wouldn't take my car anywhere else the service they provide is amazing I'm over the moon with the work Shane has put in

Took my Clio 197 in for a remap. All other places said it wouldn't get more than 5bhp. Chip Tech got 16bhp and 14n/m torque and it has changed my car unbelievably. Better throttle response more torque in the mid range (which isn't great in the air aspirated Clio) and so much more power 1st-3rd gear. 0-60 is noticeably quicker and the noise..........

Took my BMW E61 LCI 525d in to Shane for a DPF and Stage 1. Booking was very easy, extremely accommodating to get it in around my work times.

So I had the car done about a month ago now and my only regret is I didn't have it done sooner. The low end power is so much better and the power delivery in general just seems smoother.

Pre map I was averaging about 34mpg on a 60 mile trip daily commute I'm now averaging 38-38.5. As for performance, it has completely transformed the car, it goes like a bat out of hell with your foot down and massive amounts of torque lower down where you need it on motorways and overtaking.

There's absolutely no smoke even on a cold start, just a faint trail with you foot hard down above 3.5k rpm but hardly any.

My car has an automatic transition and this docent seem to have had any negative effects on anything.

Could not recommend these guys more.

Shane did my s111coupe today and did above and beyond to map this car right,he's a nice friendly bloke and nothing is too much trouble,the car was quick before he did it but now it goes like a stabbed rat.can't believe the difference the remap has made thanks very much shane

Found Chip Tech Tuning on Facebook while I was searching for a decent place to take my car.

I had all the usual concerns and asked a load of questions, but I'm pleased to say I got all the right/reassuring answers :-)

I had the car previously mapped by chip tech around 8 months ago but i asked for a more economical based map, since then I purchased a few modifications for the car and took it back to shane and his team to fit the parts and alter the map to suit but this time more performance aimed tuning. The car went to shane with a few problems firstly it didn't seem to pull as well as it used to I know you get used to the power but it was more than that. The other issue was it was suffering from the all too common limp mode when driven really hard for a long period of time (VAG'S famous variable vain turbo common problem).



Shane immediately diagnosed the car with two problems



1. The MAP sensor on the car was faulty and it was causing the turbo to hold back at the higher end of the rev range suggesting why the car didnt feel as fast as it used to.



2. The veins on the turbo were sticking causing the overboost issue throwing the car into limp mode. The turbo was cleaned using a special kit designed for this specific problem.



After fixing the faults on the car he then fitted the following mods before handing the car back to me



Full milltek exhaust

H&R lowering springs

New painted passanger side wing (another common VAG issue)

S2000 air filter with silicone pipes

EGR delete kit



The car is totally transformed and I'm really happy with the way it drives. Shane and his team were professional and on the ball from the start and i cant recommend them enough for any work, tuning, modifications, advice, fault finding really knows his stuff and wouldn't go anywhere else

Had some work done to my R32 recently. Great guy (Shane) answered my questions on FB with no issues. Gave me a day and time to bring vehicle down and work was done on same day. Love the changes made. Will be bringing other vehicles down in future. Thanks lads

Had some work done here, exceptional service, great liaison with staff keeping you up to date. The work took longer than anticipated due to issues outside of the scope of Chip Tech Tuning, but was still given a good will gesture discount, and a free car wash :) would thoroughly recommend.

Had my ‘06 Mercedes C220 CDI in with the lads at Chip Tech Tuning a couple of weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the work and also the service.



Dyno run on the stock map came out 156bhp and 264.4 ft/lb torque.



After the stage 1 remap it was making 186.9bhp and 330.1 ft/lb!



Great job lads, much appreciated.

Had my little old passat remapped stage 1 blimey it's a totally different more torque an throttle response the lads at chip tech did a good job an well satisfied with the work I had done stage 1 remap an egr delete.....This place I would recommend to anyone ......

Had my car remapped a while ago and this weekend took my transit for a remap brought it to life pulls very well now and improved mpg Top work lads! Highly recommend

Had my Vito 109cdi stage 1 remap and oh my god it has transformed the van excellent job done very pleases

Had my Scirocco tuned on rolling road its now exciting to drive and iv fallen in love with it all over again! Still a few things i want doing so il be back for sure! Friendly guy awesome job done i would 100% recommend iv even got son in laws car booked in with him lol. Thanks again on a job well done

Great bunch of guys, very knowledgable, they were happy to let me watch/film the dyno and explained loads of stuff to me, would 100% go back with the next car!

Brilliant, Car drives like a completely different beast, Smooth on set off and the power build is insane. Cant comment so much about the fuel economy boost, as I've been having fun!



Staff were friendly, and for the price you pay, you just cant go wrong!
