husband and I suddenly had a child free night so off to Chiquito york we went. we seated straight away and were left in peace to browse the menu. the food we had was fantastic everything red hot and really well presented and very reasonably priced. however what made the night perfect was the excellent waiting staff especially Eoin, he was extremely helpful with excellent recommendations and a fantastic personality to match! nothing was to much even when i wanted extra guacamole. he is a staff member Chuiquito should be proud to have as part of their team. we look forward to returning soon to try one of the cocktails. 5 stars from us. well done

Went there as a party of 6 Sunday evening. Given a table straight away and orders taken when all ready. Food was amazing - hot and well cooked. Told them we were celebrating a 25th anniversary and they sent over two desserts for the couple with Happy 25th Anniversary wrote across the plate - such a lovely touch. They couldn't do enough for us. Been to many Chiquitos across the country, but I have to say this was by far the best! thank you

Went for first time tonight absolutely loved it the food was great, atmosphere was great, great price and staff was all so friendly couldn't do enough for us, we will definitely be coming back to sample more of the menu and will be highly recommended to people

My husband and I visited today for a quick bite to eat. I have to say the service was fab! We were looked after by the Manager. He was excellent despite being on his own (He didn't say but I suspect someone had rung in sick) He was very attentive to all the customer needs and managed a chat with us all even though he was really busy. I do customer service training and he was the perfect example of how it's done. The food was fine. Nothing amazing but hot and tasty nonetheless.

My daughter and I went last night for a quiet meal, the service was excellent. My daughter has a severe nut allergy and the young lady who served us was very helpful and thorough making sure there was no allergens in the meal that she ordered, which put her mind at rest. When the food came it was delicious and piping hot.

I’ve been a few times in the past and never had a bad word to say about the restaurant.

Looking through these reviews from other people I dont't believe it's the same place. Me and my partner have gone loads of times and have NEVER had any problems. Food has always been good. Service has been great. If it's been busy and they are abit slow they do apologise. Very nice place and will be going again!!!

Even on a busy Saturday evening from the moment we arrived to the time we left the service was amazing. Our food arrived quickly and tasted fantastic. My sons first visit but I’m sure he will want to go back on our next cinema trip.

We saw our drinks made at the bar and put out to be sent to the table, several staff went to the bar and saw them, but walked away and just seemed to pace up and down the restaurant. We had to ask several times for our drinks to be brought over, and other tables were seen going to collect their drinks themselves after waiting for so long. When we ordered a second drink (at the point of finally receiving our first) we got bottles so it would be quick out. We had finished our first drinks and was waiting so long for our second ones to come out, the guy manning the bar brought them himself and apologised for our wait. To be honest, there seemed to only be the man at the bar and one waitress of a team of approx. 6 we saw actually doing anything.

Unfortunately, I/we won't be rushing back... Warning, do not order the Enchiladas from the adult main menu unless you are a child of 4 or a mouse! I commented to our waiter who obviously didn't refer it to his manager....poor customer service for a very small portion of mediocre quality food for an unrealistic cost...sad times, we love the cuisine from Mehico, but not served the Chiquito way

Shame. Service great, people efficient, nice and helpful. Quite fast starters but Luke warm. Mains took about 30 mins. The Texts Tortilla pulled pork was soggy bottom on brioche, and soaked into paper beneath so hard to peel away. Other was pulled pork baked wrap. Very very very juicy which made wrap soggy. For the staff I would return, for the food, no. And we like good Mexican food

It's not bad, but it's just not good. We went today to use our free meals that we were given last time because the service was so bad. This time the service was much better but the food it's so average and over priced. The children's meals are the same size regardless of if it's from the smaller children's or bigger children's menu so that doesn't make sense. Generally food is pretty tasteless and the atomasphere is flat. We have the taste card which chiquitos accepts but even at 2for1 prices we certainly won't be returning.

From the moment we walked in the service was shocking! 3-4 of them stood around talking as we stood waiting to be seated, in the end i said excuse me do we seat ourselves or wait to be seated? they replied with will be over in a second, finally we got seated then waited another 25mins to order drinks (we nearly left but really wanted fajitas) so we persevered, when the drinks finally arrived he took our food order we waited and waited people who came in after us were getting there food before us and leaving! finally it arrived the food was nice but awful service! When i spoke to the manager he apologised and knocked some money off the bill and then tried to say we hadn't been waiting thats long as the guy who served us wasn't in the building when we arrived (he was we'd seem him) i was shocked that he was basically calling me a liar! i will not be returning anytime soon!

But went with freinds and family for my sons birthday last night ... whats happened? I had tacos with a spoonful of rice and a teaspoon of chilli.. no sides . Sent it back and the same portions were returned ! Food came out in dribs and drabs ........

So went for a meal at Chiquitos at Clifton moor... took 15mins for us to even order then mains came and mine was luke warm at a push and we were the only people in there!!!! No one came over to check while I was sat there without food and then when the manager came over 45mins later because we had a problem he called us aresholes!

Pretty damn annoyed after going tonight. For one we waited at least 15 minutes before we were even asked for drinks. Then we waited over half an hour for starters. Which both me and my dad could see on the side (and had been sat there for a while) ...then when our main meals finally arrived (after been sat there for another 20 mins) our orders were wrong. My dad asked for a beef chilli burrito and got a chicken burrito. Then I looked upon my plate to find half my plate was filled with nachos, a handful of veg chilli, 5 pieces of vegetables, and a non spicy rice. See, I ordered a veg chilli which specifically said 5 bean chilli, I could see 2 different beans and sweetcorn. I'm afraid I ain't gonna count the sweetcorn as bean. And it also said spicy rice. Which it wasn't. And it also listed that it comes with guacamole, salsa and sour cream. And yet again I got none of that, so I had to ask. Also one of the staff members was pretty rude and very moody. (And I also have an image of my meal to verify what I've said)

Bottom line of the story, don't go if you are vegetarian!!!! Waited an hour for my halloumi burger to arrive. Took one bite out of it and thought it tasted a bit beefy. Opened it up to find 2 large chunks of shredded beef stuck to the bottom of the cheese! The menu says it's supposed to be vegetarian! Picked it out and a friend tasted it for me, she confirmed it was definitely beef. Put the rest in a napkin to show the waiter who took it to the kitchen to let the cook know. He came back and said 'we can't be sure what it is we found but it's not beef' what ever happened to the customer being right? It WAS beef!!!! It was shredded like shredded beef, it smelt of beef, it apparently tasted like beef...... thoroughly upset and disappointed!!!! I don't expect to be made out to be lying! So Yeah, if your vegetarian don't bother. They don't cook the veggie food on a clean grill so you may be eating meat or meat fat!!!

Bottom line of the story, don't go if you are vegetarian!!!! Waited an hour for my halloumi burger to arrive. Took one bite out of it and thought it tasted a bit beefy. Opened it up to find 2 large chunks of shredded beef stuck to the bottom of the cheese! The menu says it's supposed to be vegetarian! Picked it out and a friend tasted it for me, she confirmed it was definitely beef. Put the rest in a napkin to show the waiter who took it to the kitchen to let the cook know. He came back and said 'we can't be sure what it is we found but it's not beef' what ever happened to the customer being right? It WAS beef!!!! It was shredded like shredded beef, it smelt of beef, it apparently tasted like beef...... thoroughly upset and disappointed!!!! I don't expect to be made out to be lying! So Yeah, if your vegetarian don't bother. They don't cook the veggie food on a clean grill so you may be eating meat or meat fat!!!
