Thank you Nicole! I decided to take my Dad for an impromptu lunch after he had to spend a long morning at the hospital (*think pain and discomfort and you can imagine why I thought he deserved a lunch treat!). The food was delicious, and the setting felt nice and Tex-Mex and authentic (lots of nice seating options including booth type seats). But what made the experience extra SPECIAL for us was our waitress, Nicole.



I don't think it's coincidental that Nicole is from the U.S.A. We were treated to that extra special level of service that you can always expect when you dine in any American restaurant. True service with a smile, absolutely attentive without being obtrusive, super friendly, and well, we almost felt like we are on holiday in California rather in Exeter.



We would recommend Chiquito but more importantly we would HIGHLY recommend asking to be sat on one of Nicole's tables. And please remember to tip her well as unlike so many British waiting staff, she truly earns and deserves it. None of that 'meh!'/'what time do I clock off?' attitude that we too often experience when we dine out, that leave us thinking, did this person actually earn/deserve a gratuity? I think most of us Brits would be happy to tip all waiting staff well if they could learn some of Nicole's skills and how to replicate her charm and demeanour. Perhaps Chiquito could try cloning her? She's worth her weight in gold for sure. If I had a restaurant of my own I would headhunt her to be in charge of training all staff!



Thank you again Nicole for making our special lunch even more special! We will hope to see you again soon! And we WILL of course be checking that you are working first and asking to be sat in your area! <3

Just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time at the taster session tonight. The food was brilliant and the staff were lovely, I loved the halloumi bites and Charlie loved the quesadillas. The margaritas were slightly salty but still tasted good and the passion fruit mojitos we had afterwards were amazing and the bar tender (Aidan) was incredibly friendly and patient in teaching Charlie how to make one. As a customer I would love to see more events like this in the future, for me it was different and better to a standard sit-down meal, I would say I enjoyed it so much in the future I would pay £10-£15 to attend something similar. The atmosphere in the restaurant was really lovely and very lively.

Had a delicious meal with my hubby today! The food came out very quickly and our waitress was brilliant! Some fab reasonably priced cocktails. I had the super skillet and enjoyed every bite!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience from start to finish - also I love the decor, there’s so much to admire while waiting for food!

The random hat on top of their ceiling decor made for an interesting conversation starter!

As for the reviews for price - you get what you pay for guys! Good hearty food is more expensive than McDonald’s! I felt it was very good value for the amount of food and quality we received!

The only good thing about that place is the waitress Nicole ( i hope i got that right shes from boston US ) she was the sweetest person who couldn’t do enough for you, and noticing she was like that to everyone who she served. Everything else though, shambles. 45 mins to wait for a drink when it wasn’t even busy. Chef mixed one order up and it wasnt even up to scratch for what u pay for. The cocktails were amazing though so the stars given were purely for the lady who served us � xxx
