Great service, food was absolutely delicious and hot. Third time we've been and never had an issue. Had chicken and pulled pork faijtas and they were absolutely lush. The only trouble was, there was next to no pulled pork. I didn't even see it so ask the waitress who told me it was under the cheese... She said she'd get me a new one but I said I'd be happy with just more pulled pork. She told me not a problem, went straight off and got it which was great, however it was really cold. Tasty but cold. Nothing was a hassle though and when you've got the app and a half price meal, two people having mains and a starter for £21 you can't complain too much!! Definitely go back again.

Great service from friendly staff. Lovely apple & ginger smoothie & great choice on the menu.

We had a lovely meal with excellent service . We were however disappointed that there was alot off the menu. No steak left , The cocktail I wanted wasn’t available they had runout of the beer we wanted. A shame but alternatives were good

Been a few times for cocktails and also for food on different occasions. Wish the music was always Mexican/Latino and not too loud so we could talk . Cocktails good �

The food is ok but the service is very very slow. Unless you have 3 hours to spare, don’t go!

Shame a Tex Mex restaurant plays music too loud, destroying conversation. Also not too much Tex Mex about the music. Finally I don’t like being addressed as “guys”. Rant over

used to love Chiquitos never minded the wait as food was always freshly cooked and good portions. however we came last night, and got to say was very disappointed! still waited a good while for food which all tasted like cheap pre packaged micro meals, the child's chicken fahjita looked like a bowl of cat food � all came out miles apart so had finished my meal by the time my child's had come out, struggled to find any chicken In my tacos and the sea bass was dry as a bone!! what a shame as it used to be a place we liked going for a special treat however I've had better cheap pub grub!

We arrived to be ushered to the bar for 5 minutes whilst they cleared the tables. 20 minutes later we got to a table and handed a menu each.

15 minutes later we were asked if we would like a drink which we ordered. No popcorn like everyone else.

When I booked the table over the phone I told the woman I spoke to that we had a pretty grim experience last time with cold food and being charged for things we didn't have. She told me to make myself known to her so that she would oversee things for us but when I asked if she was available I was told she was there that night but she didn't even come over to say hello!

We ordered our starter and main. The starter was good but the main wasn't. I had the chicken with coconut. It came with a tiny amount of rice and 2 tortillas. The dish was very runny and I ended up leaving most of it as a spoon was needed for this dish but there was no one around to ask.

I did mention all this to the girl who served us but all she could say was did you enjoy your meal.!!!!!

We won't be going there again which is a shame as we all enjoy spicy good food. I certainly wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone and they need to re think their staff. I hate to complain like this but I hate it even more thinking people pay good money for rubbish service and food.

However, if you have an offer on for 2 for 1 on all cocktails between 4pm and 8pm (as clearly stated on the fliers on all tables) then it should be exactly that. Not for a group of 6 adults to have to explain the offer to staff to be told ‘the offer ends at 7pm’ after ordering several cocktails. Check your bloody tables and it clearly states the times!! Finally had the situation sorted, only for staff to try and add 2 extra drinks to our tab that had already been paid for earlier. Made to feel like we were in the wrong for stating something that was pretty obvious. Don’t think we will bother again.

Not great tbh flies in our drinks cold food waited 40 mins for food, kids burgers were like boot leather talk about well done. The chicken pieces were like stones.... I love chiqutos but won't be returning to shrewsbury anytime soon dudley all the way for me. But the churros were fantastic shame about the meal.

Lesson in customer service needed.

On the day of our visit obviously having an inspection which impacted on food leaving the kitchen. By 45 minutes????? When there is only 4 customers this kind of delay is unacceptable without an explanation from our waiter.

Unfortunately the inspection did something to the food quality because it was not what we have come to expect from the place.

Swimming in oil.

Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon as it is one of our favourite places for breakfast!

Firstly the table was sticky and all the menus were filthy, not a good start, if we hadn't have travelled, I'd have walked out there and then, we asked for wipes to clean our hands with after flicking through the menus and got them promptly, although new menus would have been better.

My wife and daughter had Fajitas which they both really enjoyed, I had a rib eye steak, a cut that I always love... it was weird, it absolutely stunk of mouldy cheese, I sent it back and was told it was normal, well in that case I've never had a normal smelling steak before, it was completely inedible. The amount was deducted from the bill.

The desserts were absolutely fantastic, two cheesecakes and a crumble. First class

I won't dine here again, as there is way too much competition in the area. A shame because some bits were really good.

Pre booked a table & made the effort to deliver a pretty order for them for my boyfriends surprise birthday meal and after the experience I have had tonight I will not be planning to be returning anytime soon! Absolutely shocking attitude by one member of your staff who I believe to be called 'rachel' never even cracked a smile the whole night until she near enough burnt my partners face off with the birthday cake which she didn't even know we had yet it was dropped off previously that day. Also her attitude towards anything was rude and the food really wasn't that great. Portions differed for the same meals. Questioned when wanting more than one sauce with our meals, if I want ketchup and mayo I'll have them. Then to be told by the same woman that no one could pay by cash which is ridiculous think she was just after an easy night. When confronted about not cracking a smile her reply was 'I've been working all day' if this is what you want as the face of chiquitos then I shall not be returnin. One person complained out of our group and was handed a voucher only to discover it was a month out of date....�🖒

I was in last Saturday mid-afternoon with my Wife and our 2 Sons.

Couldn't fault the food which was well cooked, plentiful and well presented but the service was a total let down.

It took around 45 minutes after our starters for my and the Wife's main meals to arrive and a further 10 minutes for the boys' meals to arrive, meaning we had to start without them or let our food go cold while we waited for theirs. It's not as if it was busy - there were only 5 or 6 other tables taken with only 2 - 4 people on each.

I ordered one of the burgers and chose the 'go light' option which takes off the bun and gives you a choice of another lighter side - rice in my case.

When my fries didn't arrive, I queried it with the Waitress who told me that when we go light they take off the fries as well. I pointed out to her that it doesn't say that on the menu but she just answered that she could order me some fries but they'd be extra.

I went off the check the menu again just to confirm what it said and lo and behold, it only said that they take off the bun, nothing about taking off the fries.

I queried it again with the other Waitress who looked like she was probably the duty Manageress and she just parroted the same thing but with a 'I can see where the confusion is'. Well, if you can see that then you need to do something about it, not just try to fob the Customer off.

When I stood my ground, she agreed to knock my 'extra' fries off the bill, even though they're not 'extra' at all - they are part of the meal according to the menu as it is written. I got the impression that she only did this because she couldn't be bothered arguing the toss with a Customer rather than because she actually agreed with or even understood the nature of my complaint

Either change the wording of your menu so that there is no confusion with other Customers in the future, or give them what it says on the menu. Don't rely on Customers just accepting it because while most probably will, some won't and you are actually breaking the law and are inviting a visit from a Trading Standards Officer.

Do not go here at all!!!!! We waited all2gether an hour and ten for our meals and drinks plus when I finally had my food it was cold! This is unacceptable even if u are busy they sud of came over and appoligsed for forgetting our table or to tell us that we wud have to wait!They served a table that not long came in befor us as well! Disgusted by how the staff in Shrewsbury was with us! Very very rude! The manager was so rude to my boyfriend and me! Didn't say sorry or nothing! Shall not be coming back at all! We Walked out and not paid! Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day meals!! And we had no ketchup or mayo either!!!!!
