It has to be admitted that this Ardmore has been strangely sluggish in the sales department. There's something to be said for the underdog though, especially when it's in the form of a super-characterful peated Highland malt with a bit of a smoky toffee-apple vibe going on. And one of my favourite labels to date!
Available - in relative abundance - on the site and from the usual outlets.

I see that Master of Malt have a flash sale on the recent 10yo Glen Moray bottling. It's a pretty good deal!
They also have a single bottle left of last year's Bealach Ruadh. The last one anywhere as far as I know...

User

I'm not on Islay for the festival, sadly. However here's the new Bealach Ruadh, which made it over and was spotted on the Caol Ila shoreline.
It's going down well, this one, and available even in locations non-adjacent to the Paps of Jura!
Thanks to Anna for the photo!

New and direct from the smugglers' cave!
This is the third in our 'Bealach Ruadh' series of secret Islay single malts, and it's an absolute cracker, with a lovely coastal pine forest-y freshness and a great balance of peat smoke, maritime notes and toffee apple sweetness. A pure tonic for fans of peaty Islay whisky.
The cask produced just 152 bottles and they're available on the site now for £52.50 each.

Even the new 24yo sherry cask Tobermory made it onto the beach in the unseasonably summery weather this Easter weekend! There aren't too many of these salty old sea dog of a dram left, so it might perhaps be time to take the plunge if you've been mulling (sorry!) it over...

Morning all. A couple of quick public service announcements:
As of right now there is one bottle of Orkney 15-year-old left available on the site. Don't delay!
Also, if you missed out on the Còig Deicheadan a while back I am reliably informed that a couple of bottles have made it onto the shelves at the London Oxford Road and Manchester Exchange Square branches of Selfridges.

Two new sherry cask Island malts from Chorlton Whisky this week!
First up is a Tobermory, matured for just under a quarter-century in a fresh sherry cask and full of complex dark fruits, chocolate and coastal notes.
Second is a cask end release of Orkney single malt from a refill butt. It's mineralic, salty, aromatically smoky with an undercurrent of yellow fruits and salted caramel.
... Available on the site now for £110 and £70 respectively.

But, anyway, here's me having a chat with Jason at Malt about all things Chorlton Whisky!

"Fine people at Chorlton's" = little ol' lonesome me running around like a headless chicken...
Thanks to Serge for the review!

User

Two very different upcoming Chorlton Whisky bottlings here. I know which one grabs the eye, but they really are both equally good!
Being pale and interesting is okay too (he said somewhat defensively at the end of a long and Vitamin D-depleting northern winter).

User

Hi everyone. Just to let you know we've had to reschedule the upcoming cheese & whisky night. It'll now be on Thursday 4th April - sorry for the late notice, and hope you can make it to the new date!

User

New from Chorlton Whisky: something naughty and something nice!
Choose from an intensely smoky, savoury and complex Ruadh Maor (peated Glenturret), a super-clean and fruity Glen Moray with a lush malty and honeyed finish, or bring balance to the Force with both!
Available now on the site for £50 and £52.50 respectively, and no additional charge for my mad MS Paint skillz.

User

New in is Còig Deicheadan - a fully sherry-matured blended malt containing some very nice (and old!) stuff indeed. Feel free to DM for details!
This was supposed to have been the Chorlton Whisky Christmas release, and it has that feel about it, with lots of plummy notes, nutmeg cream, orange and a tiny hint of smoke. It seems to be working in February though, and I wouldn't hang around if you fancy a bottle. There are only about 20 left at the moment, and they're available for £75 each through the site.

User

Around Manchester, London, Glasgow or Edinburgh and fancy trying some Pomona Island Brew Co beer aged in ex-Chorlton Whisky casks? You're in luck!

User

I really like this label image and feel, in retrospect, it might not have been the smartest move I've ever made using it ages ago for a tiny cask end bottling that almost no-one got to see.
Would anyone mind if it got another outing for a future label? Or would that be an affront to the handful of you who did get hold of a bottle?
