Super frickin’ SUPER proud of this little guy today! At only 8 he’s gone and crushed his first 10km trail run. Raising money for the awesome @thechildrenssociety at the @pizzarunuk at Ashton Court in Bristol. A cheeky hilly two-loop course.
This guy makes me proud every day, but this was special. He suffers from terrible #asthma and has been hospitalised because of it many times.
Earlier this year he came dead-last at a school cross country event due to his asthma and it sh...ook his confidence. But this was a goal he wasn’t going to let go!
On the way home he said he was inspired to want to do this having seen the runs I do and me training others (and pizza at the end was a motivator too!); seriously guys if he can do this, he, and you guys, can bloody do anything!!
He’s raising money for an awesome charity, of you can and you’re inspired please donate via the link in the comments below.
Massive thanks to Rob and the @pizzarunuk crew for allowing him to run and putting on a great event. Thank you to Dink @dink_littlelegs_bigambition Rosie @rosiebethmorgan for supporting him and a massive well done to Aimee @lilamz18 and Sharron @ciderwithbenji both for supporting him too but also completing both their first ever formal running events! Ya’ll bloody crushed it!! #runnersofinstagram #ashtoncourt #activekids #functionalfitness #prouddad #bestkidever #dontstopwhenimtiredistopwhenimdone #pizzarun #inspiring #crossfit #crossfitness #warriorfit #chrismademedoit #motivation #medals #endurancetraining #endurance #10km #trailrun

Tomorrow, this little guy runs his longest race so far, the 10km Pizza Run in Bristol.
8 years old, chronic asthma but super keen for the challenge and eager to show everyone that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it!
He’s raising money for The Children’s Society to support the great work they do on behalf of children less fortunate than he. If you’d like to support, click on the link below, and post a comment of encouragement below which I’ll read to him dur...ing the run 🏃‍♂️

Ok ok so I’m at it again. Fundraising, and on the blag for sponsorship. Why?
What am I doing?
Well, essentially, this year’s challenge is in three parts.
... Part 1 – Cotswold Way Challenge – I’m taking a team from WarriorFIT, who have never done anything like this event before, and challenging them and their new found fitness and motivation, to complete up to 100km of the challenge. I’ll be doing the 100km. Part 2 – “Everesting” on Pen y Fan – solo challenge running x20 back-to-back ascents of Pen-y-Fan. Equivalent to the height of Mount Everest. Part 3 – Marathon row. A 42,000m / 42lm row on an indoor rower. Inviting kids to join me to row 500m sections alongside me.
Why am I doing it?
Well, firstly I love the CW100 event, having done it before I thought it would be a great opportunity to challenge and focus the health and fitness goals of some of the folks I’ve worked with over that past year or so – it’s a no brainer that I’d do it with them!
Secondly, as with all these challenges I do, I want to push myself (that’s why I’ve added the other two elements) and use the experience as an opportunity to encourage and motivate others to get outside and get exercising – from talking about it on social media to dragging others along for the journey to talking in person and groups. With the marathon row especially, I want to encourage kids to get involved and show them that being active and fit is more than just school / curricular sports, which are often off-putting.
Lastly and by no means least, I want to raise money for an awesome cause. I’ve done events for The Children’s Society before, and I dare say this wont be the last. As a family this organisation is close to our hearts, and as a parent of school age children I see and hear a broad range of children’s experiences; and that an organisation such as this is out there advocating and fighting on behalf of our youth, especially those less fortunate, is an amazing thing – their work is invaluable, and while I love doing these challenges for me, I make no apology for asking you to help me, raise money, to support the fabulous work The Children’s Society does.

Cheeky little strength “pull” session this morning. Combining 5x5s and pyramids. Who says you can’t run 🏃‍♀️ 100 milers and move weights?? #functionaltraining #functionalfitness #weightlifting #strengthtraining #crossfit #crossfitness #endurancetraining #endurance #ultra #ultrarunning #fitness #health #activeliving #gymlife #dursley #cytgym #gloucestershire #devsoc

London Marathon final prep tips!
1. Decrease your training volume; get a couple of shorter runs in to stay fresh. Keep the intensity but reduce the volume.
2. Maintain your nutrition as normal.
... 3. Make sure your logistics is planned and you know what you’re doing on the day / day before.
4. Don’t try anything new this week that hasn’t been part of your training and build-up.
5. Check, check and check again - make sure all your kit, paperwork and all you need is ready and as it should be.
Keep it simple. Know what’s needed. Don’t panic, and enjoy the experience.
Good luck!

As much as this page and the challenges I do are a means of motivating, encouraging and dare I say inspiring, others, to pursue health and fitness, outside their perceived comfort zones; so it is a showcase for the amazing AMAZING progress made by those who I work with me towards their own fitness goals.
Note I say fitness goals, not performance. For many, fitness is seen as either a chore or in some way elitist and intimidating; indeed they’re often part of what puts many p...eople off a journey into fitness - so for me “performance” is not the focus, for most. It’s about being outdoors and about building confidence.
In the last 12 months I’ve been fortunate to help shape and frame some great fitness transformations.
JB lost over two stone, improved mobility and associated long term injuries, gained the confidence to go back to a sport he loved.
SW having never exercised and scared of the gym, lost over two stone and changed body-composition, has started hill walking, taken part in an obstacle race, and now training for a 100km ultra challenge.
JP had never exercised and recently had her first child. She got down to her pre-pregnancy weight, became a regular exerciser, has taken part in a team trail walk, entered a 50km charity walk and recently ran 5km for the first time!!
Each of these, and the many others, have not only gotten fitter and healthier but most importantly have pushed barriers in their own minds, shattered them and developed a new found confidence and love of themselves, and being healthy and active.
That’s not elitist, that’s AWESOME!
Whatever your goal is, however much you may feel intimidated or lacking in confidence, the AWESOME is in you!!
Be the best you.

Challenge 2019 is here, and is in three parts;
- 100km Cotswold Way Ultra, with members of the WarriorFIT family.
- Marathon row; thats over 42,000 meters on an indoor rower.
... - 20 back-to-back ascents of Pen y Fan - equal to the height of Everest.
Three challenges in one summer, raising money for the fab organisation that is The Children's Society; while hopefully encouraging and motivating others, kids especially to get out and get healthy and push their sporting or activity boundaries!

What a fabulous day in the Brecon Beacons!
Took the juniors for a tab up Pen y Fan and Corn Ddu. It was crazy busy, no surprise given the weather; and the best views and clearest sky I’ve ever seen in many many days on those hills!

Just because you don’t think you can achieve something; doesn’t mean you can’t!
Once you’re at what you think is the end of your limit, there’s still 60% left!
Today, JP smashed 5k for the first time. Anxious that it was a big goal and way off. Today, without knowing, and carrying a small backpack she tapped out 5km.....and in a very very good time!
... Don’t ever let your mindset be your limiter, there’s so much more in the tank. Trust me!
JP you smashed it. Proud of you 😉
