Christ Church, Hillsborough & Wadsley Bridge

We are a church family in north Sheffield embracing all ages, where a real love for God lies at the heart of all that we are.

Churches are communities of Christians, people who want to find out more about God, and to follow Jesus. Everyone has a part to play - Paul wrote in his first letter to the church in Corinth that:

'Your body has many parts—limbs, organs, cells—but no matter how many parts you can name, you're still one body. It's exactly the same with Christ. By means of his one Spirit, we all said good-bye to our partial and piecemeal lives. We each used to independently call our own shots, but then we entered into a large and integrated life in which he has the final say in everything. (This is what we proclaimed in word and action when we were baptized. )' 1 Corinthians, 12: 12-13 (The Message)

And so it is here at Christ Church, we each have our own gifts and talents that we offer to the whole - be it typing, making cakes and cups of tea, designing posters, leading prayers, cleaning the toliets, preaching, listening or simply offering a welcoming smile. None of us is unimportant.
