Very nice Italian restaurant in the heart of theatre land

Expensive but worth that special treat

User

Took my fiancée out for our anniversary on the 9/02/18, was amazing. Food was brilliant, the fact they had halal steaks was great, staff were brilliant, very polite, very attentive and helpful with food choices. Arguably one of the best meals my fiancée and I have had. Worth every penny we paid, they even allowed me to bring in my own cake which I had purchased from the Humming Bird Bakery and served it to us. Overall I would highly recommend this place. I definitely intend on going back.

User

This place was amazing! We had got married the night before and were about to see the lion king at the lyceum theatre. This is opposite the theatre so we took a chance and were greeted and seated very quickly without prior booking. Our waiter was first class as was our meal.......and to top it off, our desert was brought out with congratulations spelt out on the plate which absolutely made our evening. Highly recommend *****

User

I visit Christopher’s nearly every time I go to London!! Always have fantastic food and cocktails. Went with a very large group last time and the service was excellent even when we were all ordering multiple dishes/drinks and all asked to pay separately. Definitely worth a visit!!

User

Had an fantastic experience. The dining room is beautiful and the staff are attentive, professional and really excellent at their jobs. I just loved the service from start to finish. The food was delicious. We had the early bird and it was fantastic quality and presentation. Really great wine list. First time here and highly recommend. Will definitely be back (I was dressed in casual clothes and made feel as special as every guest there) Thank you

User

Fantastic cocktails! And really delicious food! Thoroughly recommend in the heart of theatre land x

User

Around corner from Drury Lane theatre. Very attentive staff looked after our every request. Exquisite cheese board. Great food, Halibut in the menu which drew us in. Large Gnt 50ml £12.50 each, should have been mentioned as it was out of the ordinary the size of measure. Could be a shock for some as most would not ask upfront how much is a GnT. Would visit again

User

Absolutely fabulous wedding celebration All dietary requirements were catered for with ease and everything tasted delicious! The staff were exceptionally attentive and made the experience really special. Everyone raved about the steak platter and all it’s trimmings. They also have the best gluten free brownie!

Would recommend starting with a martini in the bar and then going up for dinner with a view!

Looking forward to going back for brunch!

User

A quiet place to escape the mayhem of Covent Garden and savour a delicious cocktail or two

User

Service was excellent, we had Antoine who was very attentive. The food was excellent, the puddings were amazing. Maybe only downside was it was quite expensive but for a one off treat I would definitely recommend

User

Now I know why I was never crazy about cocktails but my friends were ....because I'd never had an amazing one! Porn star Martini heaven!

beware the sharing starter.....fabulous tasting and presented but can only share with yourself or you will starve!

User

We visited on Saturday evening, service very gd. Starters was first class, we had the crab cakes, our main course came we ordered rib eye steak, both cooked very good, but our sides not so good, the tobacco onions were very greasy made my husband feel very sick & the chips didn't seem to be cooked properly, but when we paid our bill the manager did take the chips & onions off our bill which we thought was very good considering we didn't ask, we would visit again but won't be ordering the chips or onions!

User

We have been going to Christopher's for years. Yesterday evening we had a booking at 5.30pm. As usual, excellent staff and service, but annoyed to find, when looking at the bill today, a charge of £4 for tap water, a charge of £4 for a tiny loaf (when we used to be offered a bread basket for free), and the house wine charged at £17 per 500ml - which seemed extortionate. Disappointed - the theatre menu used to be a good deal, but these extras really mount up.

User

Went for pre theatre meal was not told when ordering if you had the chicken there was no vegetables or potatoes with it they are at a extra cost a glass of wine was £10 which I think was over priced . I would not go back the food is not that good for the price .

User

I love Christophers and go to London at least once a month just for there cocktails ! (from Portsmouth!!) But was very disappointed by the size of the cocktail and the attitude of the barstaff and the waitresses when I mention it and won't go again which is a shame considering I have been going there for the last six years !!

User

We had a really disappointing experience. Having booked a table for lunch for my friends 25th birthday, we arrived to be told they had no reservation in our name. We had actually received a confirmation reservation email and a call from them that morning ... but they merely stated it was "not their fault" and we could either eat in the bar (which was empty and only served burgers) or wait up to 2 hours for another table.

Having politely but firmly said this was unacceptable, we were told to take a seat in the bar whilst they rectified the problem. However, forty minutes later and we were still sat there...

We finally gave up and left Christopher's only to be called by an abrupt lady asking why we had missed our booking and informing us that we would loose points on OpenTable because we had failed to arrive for our booked table!

I could not believe how disappointing this was - the restaurant were clearly only interested in serving people they thought 'wealthy' enough and fitted their 'scene'. Awful!

User

Have loved Christopher’s for the last 5 years. Visit monthly from the south coast. Always have the chilli ginger chocolate martini £12 bit expensive but it’s lovely. Yesterday the measure was on the short side so I complained. The waitress was rude and the Barman argued it was the right measure despite another chocolate martini at the same price was a full in the glass. So disappointing as £100 spent on cocktails to be short measured. Will be looking for another cocktail bar from now on. Such a shame
