Church Of Sanctus Description
Established in 2012 by designer Lucinda Sinclair, Sanctus offers exclusivity in a world crowded with the disposable. Handmade in London and using only vegan friendly materials, the collections draw inspiration from ideologies and symbolism of all kinds.

Poseideia - The Women of the Sea ππβοΈ Saffron wears the Zero Waste Dress in a deadstock water print chiffon that I'd been hanging onto for ages. It's amazing when it suddenly becomes clear what you've been saving a special fabric for. Ah yes, of course! And it all comes together, as if this fabric I hurriedly bought the last 10 meters of from a mill a couple of years ago, was always meant to become this dress.

A siren caught in a vintage fishing net by the Thames foreshore, Nadia wears the Zero Waste Dress in black linen. This dress is cut and sewn in a way that uses up every scrap of 3 metres of fabric. βοΈ

This is the very special Medusa Coat βοΈπβ¨
For some of us, Medusa is more than just a terrifying woman with snakes adorning her head. She can be considered also:
- a guardian of female power.... - an embodiment of feminine fury. - protector of womenβs secrets.
So she was the natural choice as muse for this collection. πΉ
This jacket is made from repurposed upholstery velvet with a burnished finish and embossed with alligator scales, with a golden lining.
Due to the very limited nature of this fabric, we can make just 1 more of this unique piece.

Slow fashion is not cheap - unlike the fast fashion process, we lovingly make all our pieces to order in my studio in South East London (right on the Thames, near where we shot these pho...tos!) I understand my independently made designs are an investment, so making a piece you can wear in multiple ways can make a slow fashion piece feel even more worthwhile.
