Great takeaway and my first choice for Indian food. They have a really good selection and lots of choice if you dont like your curry too spicy.

I've been eating here for many years and at one point a couple of years ago this place was by far the best takeaway in Leicester however this year the quality of food has gone massively downhill, I've given them many chances to impress but have so far been let down every time.

Sadly at this rate I doubt they will be winning any more English Curry Awards anytime soon.

EXTREAMLY disappointed with the food and service from Chutneys. I ordered a paneer as I am a vegetarian, instead I received prawns which I was furious at. After ringing to have the issue resolved and finally receiving my correct order, instead of providing me with my money back, they only gave me the option to have the food replaced as I had paid in cash and not online. On top of this, the food was dreadful. My food was ridiculously spicy to the point where there was no flavour except chilli powder. The naan was undercooked and doughy which meant I had to throw nearly all of it away to avoid the risk of getting ill. The mango chutney was like runny orange milk, which smelt like it had gone bad, which again was thrown away. Would not order from here again and would not recommend anyone to order from here either. One of the worst takeaways I have ever ordered from.

I used to love this but was really disappointed today. My husband couldn't eat his as it tasted of chilli powder and was extremely hot although advertised as medium. My chicken was hard and the butter chicken wasn't butter chicken and looked like korma. The rice and nan tasted like it had been cooked before and defrosted. Not sure what's going on may be new management?

We used to be regular customers of Chutney's and always loved it. More recently, they have unfortunately dropped their standards. The food is now just ok but not great with us sometimes getting rice that is not properly cooked and curry that isn't always great tasting. I am sad to say that this has happened for us on more than one occasion. Also some of the staff can come across quite rude and not very helpful/interested. I am so very disappointed as I loved Chutneys. I hope they can improve again.

Super duper from food to service try it u won't regret it

We always order our curry from Chutneys! Great food always tasty, lovely people that work there and always hot! The only thing wrong is the waiting time but the wait is definitely worth it!

Always order a curry from here as I've found it to be one of the best curry houses in Leicester. Although sometimes you can wait a while for delivery as its such a popular place, the wait is worth it! Had a couple of mishaps in the past but the friendly staff are always willing to make a mends the next time.

I ordered a food from chutneys on my friends recommendation and wow i found the best i had before in leicester, thank u so much for excellent service.
