Cirencester Calendar - WEBSITE NOW LIVE!
We are one of the 3 lucky charities to receive the proceeds from the sale of this beautiful calendar. There are many shops in Cirencester (and the Bathurst Estate Office) where you can purchase one for £7.00 and now you can order online and choose to have them posted.
Message from Lady Bathurst
... "There is a 50p surcharge on all online sales. This is to cover the costs of online payment. Postage UK is £2.50 (again to cover; postage/envelope/online charging costs). Multiple calendars will be a bit more. Postage abroad is also calculated at going postage rates, plus costs for the above. i got sunburned here for the 1st time in my life
.. as it was about 23 years ago and involved applying oil i ve moved on....all the same i loved my trips to the open air.....
Year on Year a visit becomes a better experience. It's wonderful how this progress is achieved without spoiling the ethos of this wonderful facility which I first used in 1974... congratulations to all involved with this lovely piece of living history
Wonderful find. Will definately be returning! Had the pool all to ourselves. It was overcast but was warm. Enjoyed a hot chocolate. Great facilities too and friendly staff.
What a jewel hidden away in Cirencester. Lovely new changing rooms, sparkling water and a wonderful atmosphere. A real pleasure to spend time there and how lucky we were with the private hire. Just brilliant!
We really enjoyed our visit to the pool last week. It is a fabulous facility, the multi-tasking lifeguards were charming. They smiled, gave us some general information, took our money, kept us safe and made us a cup of tea - thank you. It was great to chat to the enthusiastic volunteer at the Tuck Shop. We wish we lived nearer but hope to return another day.
The investment is really paying off especially with the changing rooms. Suggest the next thing to look at is the paving around the pool. Great value and perfect for the whole family
The BEST pool in the whole of Gloucestershire.
Clean, warm water & friendly staff. Not to mention the idyllic location. Absolutely stunning place. Me & my children love it. We even visit in the rain as the pool water is lovely & warm.
Sweet Summer
Such a gem in the centre of Cirencester. Very clean facilities, friendly staff and the added bonus of a tuck shop! Definitely recommend.
Perhaps the oldest open air pool in Britain continuously used, brill!
My toddler and I love coming to the pool! It is always super clean and everyone is so friendly. Truly such a local gem. I continue to be amazed that it is run by a team of volunteers. We are lucky to have such a beautiful place in the heart of Cirencester! Nice touch that there are toys available at the pool for little ones to play with- not the case at many other outdoor pools/lidos! Keep up the brilliant work!
Me and my kids love it but it could do with a larger changing table as i had to have a friend help me with my 16yr old CP son to change him on a toddler size table and the floor was wet all round the toilet so could not put him on floor.
Me and my boys loved this venue. We used to spend all day there in the summer when we lived in Cricklade. Splendid it's still running. Must introduce our grandchildren to this amazing place.
Lush day out here! Lush pool and lush staff! Love coming to this swimming and have done three Saturdays in a row now! Recommend 100%! Xxx
Lovely outdoor pool, very well maintained and clean, staff very approachable and friendly, parking a bit awkward
Lovely little place, the sun was shining, children were happy!!! Also a good tuck shop with propper coffee so mums were happy too
Kids had a brilliant time yesterday. Wasn't as busy as I was expecting considering its the summer holidays! Very cheap for entry and in little shop. Clean changing rooms. Will definitely be visiting again!
I went with my family yesterday. The place is clean, the pool area was clean and we all had a great time. Just more sunbeds needed! All in all great day out and very inexpensive. See you again soon x
I came last year for the first time and have been back this year. Such a nice place you almost feel like you are away when the weather is nice too.
I came here on Friday morning to the parent & toddler session. It was our first visit and I was very impressed. Everything was so clean (pool, pool side & changing rooms), staff were very friendly and the pool was a perfect temperature. Lovely morning out
Had a lovely swim today, gorgeous pool staff very helpful and friendly facilities very good shame I’m only visiting
Fantastic little spot. Kids love the heated pool with the tuck shop selling cake and ice cream they couldn't ask for more. Parking is always a problem but worth it.
Fab place for a lovely cheap fun day out. Great pool, clean friendly staff super location.
Can't fault the place, staff were great, pool was great and excellent value. Felt like we were on holiday!
Came here yesterday with my children for the first time. We all absolutely loved it. The prices are great for entry, they have a slide for the children and they get the foam mats out and they have a baby pool too. It was like being on holiday sitting by the pool, the weather was beautiful too which was a bonus! The only thing that would be better is more seating as over half the people there had to sit on the concrete floor, other than that I will be coming to this pool alot more from now on!
Best family day out.
Beautifully kept pool and a joy to swim in. Absolutely loved it ...and what a view!
As someone else has said, a real gem in Cirencester. Pool is a good size, often outdoor pools can be short in length so not so great for doing lengths but this one works. At least one lane is usually in and you can ask for one to be put in if not. Great refurb, fab staff, perfect on a sunny day!!
Amazing facilities and staff are so on the ball..felt very safe and can't wait to go back with the family xx
A wonderful facility right in the centre of town. Great pool and heated too. I definitely will be going again. You must try it out
Our 1st visit yesterday on a very hot Monday. It was very busy and no shade to sit in. suggest more umbrellas. But a lovely pool and nice staff. Will be back again but maybe not on such a hot day.
I lost my watch here today BH Monday. It is of great sentimental value, an analogue watch with dark leather strap, its most distinguishing feature is the date 27.9.10 engraved on the back. Please contact me if anyone knows its whereabouts.
Great pool, nice and clean and well run. A bit difficult with parking.
lane swimming a bit slim for 5pm when everyone finishes work ,plus you need more sign posts for tourists
Was very excited about coming here on Tuesday, was very disappointed due to lack of organisation, kids were pushing in, other kids coming out in their swimwear to pass on their season tickets. Pool water was covered in bugs, little bits of debris. I knew there would be lots of kids , however as you expect anywhere else to not allow running or diving. I think a turnstile is required to avoid people pushing in and season passes with pictures on.extremely overcrowded. Such a shame as it has the potential to be great .
The pool is lovely. The water is gorgeous.
Not much space around the pool and parking is a nightmare, but loved the pool.
Don't go if the suns not out. It was raining the day we went, but as it says HEATED, we thought we would give it a go. Bloody freezing, Only went in for about 15 mins then had to get out due to teeth chattering.
Disappointed as said "heated" pool. Great size. Bank Holiday way too busy. Perhaps using wrist bands or set times would have been a good idea...
Really wanted to visit here .had enquirers about disabled access, all good, only to be told, no disabled parking available ! So this pool is NOT accessible to me. Not acceptable at all!
