Our services provide widespread benefits for all individuals and households, but the impact reaches well beyond their families. Northumberland CAB made a significant contribution to community life in the following ways: • Ensuring access to justice through advice and campaigning work• Supporting communities by tackling poverty, social exclusion and disadvantage• Reducing costs to the public purse by preventing problems from arising, escalating or deteriorating• Strengthening local economies by bringing in funds for clients and services• Improving skills through a range of employment and volunteering opportunities• Highlighting unfair laws, policies and procedures and campaigning for change• Promoting social cohesion through partnership work with other service providers
