About City Bridge Trust

City Bridge Trust is the funding arm of Bridge House Estates. The Trust was established in 1995 to make use of surplus funds after Bridge House Estates has met its responsibilities to maintain and, if necessary replace, five bridges: Tower Bridge, London Bridge, Southwark Bridge, Millennium Bridge and Blackfriars Bridge. The City of London Corporation is the sole trustee of the Bridge House Estates and members of its Court of Common Council form the City Bridge Trust's Grants Committee. City Bridge Trust provides grants of around £25m per year for charitable purposes benefiting the inhabitants of Greater London. Since 1995, City Bridge Trust has awarded more than 8, 300 grants, amounting to almost £461m. > Our vision: For London to be a city where all individuals and communities can thrive, especially those experiencing disadvantage and marginalisation. > Our mission: To reduce inequality and grow stronger, more resilient and thriving communities for a London that serves everyone. > Our values: We aim to be: Adaptive; Collaborative; Environmentally Responsible; Inclusive; Progressive; and Representative.
