About us
We are a successful competitive and recreational rowing club based in Bristol Marina on Harbourside.
We've been rowing in the docks for 65 years. Our roots are in the dockers' social clubs in the era when the harbourside was a working dock.

Membership
We've got 280 members. Details of membership fees are on our website.

-Junior squad
-We've got a hugely successful squad of around 70 boys and girls aged 11 upwards. Entry is through taster sessions and a learn to row course in the spring. Contact juniorsquad@bristolrowing. co. uk

Women's squad
-Senior women - We have 46 women (average age 32) targeting national and regional events. The squad is on the water 3-4 times a week and they also complete ergos and weights training.
-Recreational women - We have 24 women (average age 43) who enjoy rowing on the docks.
-Novice women - Our learn to row intake spend a year learning to row and competing in regional events before taking the step up to the seniors in 'year 2'.

Men's squad
-Senior men - We have 53 men (average age 33) targeting national and regional events including Henley Regatta. The squad is on the water 3-4 times a week and they also complete ergos and weights training.
-Recreational men - We have 37 men (average age 44) who enjoy rowing on the docks.
-Novice men - Our learn to row intake are developing in year 1 before moving to seniors.

Taster sessions for adults and juniors take place in the spring.
We organise one course each year for adults and one course for juniors. The 10-session adult course runs from the end of June through July for 5 weeks. After the course our new novices join the club and form the new novice squad.

Corporate row

Every year in August we hold a corporate row course and regatta. Local companies spend 4 weeks learning to row and then compete against each other in a series of races at our corporate regatta.
